I woke up in this yellow room with no windows. It looked like an abandoned office space. I saw lily and 97679 next to me. They were both unconscious. I tried waking them up.
'hey! Guys! Wake up!'
97679 slowly opened her eyes and she sat up. She looked around and she looked shocked.
'Sh*t...'
'what?'
'we need to get to a safe level. Wake lily up. We gotta go'
'what do you mean safe level? Where are we?'
'the backrooms...I know how we can leave'
'alright'
I did as she said and woke lily up. Then 97679 started feeling walls.
'it's this one, if we go through here, we should end up somewhere else. We need to hold hands so we manage to get there together. It's too dangerous to be alone here'
She grabbed both of our had s and we walked through the wall. It was really weird. Then we somehow ended up in another place. It was surprisingly familiar. I remember this place. It was in my dream once.
'I...i remember this place...'
'liminal spaces...'
The atmosphere of the place made me feel sick. Then the memories began to flood back and not only did I feel sick, I was starting to feel uncomfortable.
'this is just too much'
I walked off in a random direction and 97679 followed me.
'Alan! Wait! You can't just go off in a random direction! You'll get lost'
'just leave me be. This whole situations making me uncomfortable and the atmosphere of this place makes me feel sick'
She then hugged me.
'I'm trying to find a way to leave,just hold on. I know a lot about this place so we might be able to leave quicker, just trust me, okay'
I hugged her back.
'how did we even get here...'
'this place is outside of the reality we live in. We no- clipped into this place. It's like another universe. Some places are liminal or like you've been there before. There are levels like this that make the person in it feel ill or insane as in that person's eyes, its uncomfortable or reminds them of a dark point in their life.'
'this place reminds me of my old house...where Lily's ex had...you know...'
'yeah, that. I figured that's what happened'
We both went back to lily and over the next few hours 97679 helped us to escape but I still felt uncomfortable and like I was going to be sick.
