Tom Riddle stood before Headmaster Dippet in his office, his eyes fixed on the man before him.
"Headmaster, I was wondering if there's a chance for me to teach Defence Against the Dark Arts," he said, his voice filled with confidence.
Dippet looked up from his desk, his expression thoughtful. "Tom, you're a very talented young wizard, but you must understand that teaching at Hogwarts is reserved for those with more experience and qualifications."
Tom's face fell, disappointment etched on his features. "But Headmaster, I've proven myself time and time again. I believe I could be a valuable asset to the school."
Dippet sighed. "I have no doubt of your capabilities, Tom, but you must understand that there are other factors at play here. Teaching is not just about knowledge and skill, it's about maturity and experience."
Tom's jaw tightened as he processed Dippet's words. He had always believed that his exceptional abilities would be enough to propel him forward, but now he realized that he needed more than that. He needed time, experience, and maturity.
"I understand, Headmaster," he said quietly, his eyes downcast.
Dippet placed a reassuring hand on Tom's shoulder. "Don't be discouraged, Tom. You have a bright future ahead of you, and I have no doubt that you will achieve great things. Just remember to be patient, and to continue to hone your skills and abilities. One day, your chance will come."
Tom nodded, his mind already turning to ways he could prove himself worthy of such a role in the future. He knew that he had to bide his time, but he was determined to prove himself, no matter how long it took.
"Thank you, Headmaster," he said, turning to leave. "I won't let you down."
Dippet watched as Tom left his office, his thoughts already turning to the future of the school and the bright young wizard before him. He knew that Tom had great potential, and he was excited to see what the future held for him.
Tom Riddle stood in the empty dormitory of Slytherin House, his trunk packed and ready to go. The walls that had once echoed with the sounds of his friends and classmates were now silent, the only noise coming from the distant murmur of voices in the common room below.
Graduation had come and gone, and Tom had officially completed his seven years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As he looked around the room, memories flooded back to him - the pranks he had played on his fellow students, the secrets he had uncovered, and the knowledge he had gained.
But now, it was time to move on. He had accomplished all he could at Hogwarts, and it was time to start the next chapter of his life.
With a final glance around the room, Tom lifted his trunk and made his way down to the common room. There, he found a few of his fellow Slytherins, all gathered around the fire, chatting and laughing.
"Hey, Riddle," called Marcus Flint, the captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team. "Leaving already?"
Tom nodded, a small smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "Yes, I'm afraid so. It's time to move on."
Flint gave him a hearty slap on the back. "Well, you've certainly left your mark here, my friend. You'll be missed."
Tom inclined his head in acknowledgement, before making his way to the front entrance of the castle. As he stepped outside into the warm sunshine, he took a deep breath and looked out at the rolling hills and green fields that surrounded the school.
For a moment, he stood there, taking it all in - the memories, the knowledge, the friendships. But then, he turned his back on the castle and began to make his way down the path, towards the future that lay ahead of him.
As he walked, his mind raced with possibilities and plans, and he knew that whatever lay ahead, he was ready for it. Hogwarts may have been his home for the past seven years, but now, it was time to spread his wings and fly.
Tom Riddle had just graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but he had no plans to stay in the wizarding world for long. He had a mission to fulfill, and he knew that he needed to leave as soon as possible to ensure its success.
After his encounter with Helena Ravenclaw, he had finally discovered the location of the final Horcrux, the diadem of Rowena Ravenclaw. It was in Albania, a small and remote country in Eastern Europe.
Tom had never been to Albania before, but he knew that he had to go there to retrieve the diadem. He decided to leave as soon as possible, and he began to plan his journey.
He had several options for transportation, but he decided to travel by broomstick. He had always been a skilled and confident flyer, and he knew that it would be the quickest and most efficient way to get to Albania.
He spent the next few days gathering information about the country, studying maps, and researching the best routes to take. He knew that he needed to avoid detection by the Ministry of Magic, so he planned to fly low and avoid heavily populated areas.
He packed lightly, taking only the essentials he would need for the journey. He had his wand, his broomstick, some food, and a few potions he had concocted himself for protection and concealment.
As the day of his departure drew near, Tom felt a mixture of excitement and apprehension. He was eager to complete his mission and gain the power he sought, but he knew that the journey would not be easy.
Finally, the day arrived, and Tom set out from Hogwarts under the cover of darkness. He mounted his broomstick and soared into the night sky, leaving the castle and the wizarding world behind.
As he flew over the English countryside, he felt a sense of freedom and exhilaration that he had never experienced before. He was on his way to Albania, to fulfill his destiny and become the most powerful wizard the world had ever known.
