Tom Riddle's early life was marked by tragedy, neglect, and isolation. He was born in a Muggle village, Little Hangleton, to Merope Gaunt, a witch, and Tom Riddle Sr., a wealthy Muggle. His parents' relationship was short-lived, and Tom Sr. abandoned Merope and their unborn child after he learned that Merope had used a love potion to make him fall in love with her.

Merope was left alone and destitute, and she died shortly after giving birth to Tom. Tom was left in the care of a Muggle orphanage, where he spent his earliest years. It was a bleak and unhappy existence, with little love or attention from the caretakers. Tom was an outcast among the other children, who found him odd and unsettling.

Despite the neglect he suffered, Tom showed signs of his exceptional intelligence and magical abilities even at a young age. He was a precocious child who read voraciously, and his natural curiosity led him to explore the world around him. He had an affinity for animals and could communicate with snakes, a sign of his innate magical abilities.

However, Tom's childhood was also marked by a deep sense of loneliness and isolation. He had no family, no friends, and no one to turn to for support. He was haunted by the memory of his mother, whom he had never known, and he was consumed by a desire to find out more about her and his own origins.

Tom's early life before Hogwarts was a difficult and traumatic time for him. He was an orphan, alone in the world, with no one to guide or protect him. However, his experiences also shaped his character and fueled his desire for power and control. Tom learned early on that the world was a harsh and unforgiving place, and he was determined to make his mark on it, no matter the cost.

Dumbledore's visit to the orphanage was a momentous occasion in Tom Riddle's life. It was the first time he had ever encountered someone who knew about the magical world, and he was immediately intrigued by the older wizard.

Dumbledore had come to the orphanage to offer Tom a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Tom was both surprised and suspicious at first, wondering why this man would take an interest in him. However, he quickly realized the opportunity that lay before him and eagerly accepted the offer.

Dumbledore spent some time with Tom, explaining the basics of the magical world and answering his questions. Tom was fascinated by everything he learned and began to see Hogwarts as a way out of the dreary existence he had known in the orphanage. He saw it as a chance to escape the Muggle world and to embrace his true identity as a wizard.

During the visit, Dumbledore also noticed something about Tom that worried him. He could sense a darkness in the boy, a coldness and detachment that was unusual for someone so young. Dumbledore tried to reach out to Tom, to offer him guidance and support, but he could tell that the boy was not interested.

As Dumbledore prepared to leave, he warned Tom about the dangers of the path he was considering. He told him that there were two paths in life, one of light and one of darkness, and that it was up to Tom to choose which one to follow. Tom listened intently, but his expression remained unreadable.

After Dumbledore's departure, Tom felt a mix of excitement and apprehension. He was thrilled to be going to Hogwarts, but he also knew that he was embarking on a dangerous journey. He felt a growing sense of power and ambition within himself, and he knew that he was destined for greatness.

For Tom, Dumbledore's visit was a turning point in his life. It was the beginning of his journey into the magical world, and the first step towards his ultimate goal of conquering it. Though he would eventually become one of the most feared and powerful wizards of all time, the memory of that first encounter with Dumbledore would remain with him forever.

Dumbledore had informed Tom Riddle about the existence of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but there was still much for the young orphan to learn about the magical world. One of the most important things was how to get to Hogwarts.

Dumbledore met with Tom again to give him more information and to answer any questions he might have. He told Tom that the school was located in Scotland, and that there was a special platform at King's Cross Station in London that would take him directly there. However, this platform was not visible to Muggles, and Tom would need to use magic to access it.

Dumbledore went on to explain that the platform was numbered 9 3/4 and that it was located between platforms 9 and 10. Tom was incredulous at first, thinking that Dumbledore was playing a prank on him. But Dumbledore assured him that it was no joke, and that he would need to be prepared to use magic in order to access the platform.

Tom was both excited and nervous at the prospect of using magic to travel to Hogwarts. He had never been on a train before, let alone a magical one, and he had no idea what to expect. But he trusted Dumbledore and was determined to make it to the school.

On the day of his departure, Tom made his way to King's Cross Station with a sense of anticipation. He felt a little uneasy about using magic in public, but he knew that it was necessary. As he approached platforms 9 and 10, he followed Dumbledore's instructions and walked straight into the barrier between them.

To his amazement, Tom found himself in a completely different world. There was a bustling platform filled with witches and wizards of all ages, and a magnificent steam engine waiting to take them to Hogwarts. Tom felt a sense of belonging and excitement that he had never experienced before.

As he boarded the train, Tom couldn't help but feel grateful for Dumbledore's guidance and advice. He knew that he would face many challenges and dangers at Hogwarts, but he also knew that he was ready for them. With Dumbledore's words echoing in his mind, Tom embarked on a new chapter of his life, eager to learn all that he could and to become the greatest wizard of his time.
