Act I ; Scene XIII

Surprisingly no warnings time 

" Forgive me: I am gloomy and boring"

   Silas woke up in the dead of night only to find mike laying beside him sound asleep. It didn't matter what time it was to Silas the only thing that mattered was leaving quietly. His sweater was sticking to his skin uncomfortably so he quickly peeled it off his skin and tossed it onto the chair at Mike's desk. Silas grabbed the first hoodie he saw knowing mike wouldn't care and pulled it over his head hastily. He quickly wrote a note explaining his absence and stuck the note to Mike's phone so he would see it. ' woke up in the middle of the night, stole your hoodie I'll bring it back later, call me Silas grabbed his things and left the house quietly. 

  Silas had no clue where he was going as he sped down the highway. He couldn't go to Jakes's and see the look of worry, he knew he couldn't go back to mikes. Silas was tempted to go home but he didn't want to wake his dad or Bella. He was torn, so he went to where his best memories were. It was a small playground where he played as a kid before all of his problems started. The playground was nothing to be amazed by but Silas still sat down on a swing. For a while, he sat there and thought. He thought about everything his diagnosis, his addiction, he thought about going home, he thought about Bella, his dad, Jacob, he even thought about Caleb. Every thought you could have raced through his mind. 

  Eventually, he went to his car to recline back and watch the sunrise while smoking a cigarette. This was peaceful to him, being alone was peaceful to him. After the sun came up he drove home with the taste of tobacco on his tongue. The front door was unlocked as always. It was no surprise to walk in and find his father sitting at the dining table drinking coffee and reading the paper. " Thought you were with Newton" Silas slightly cringed at his father's stern but worried tone. Silas ran his finger through his curls wondering how he's gonna get out of this one. " Woke up and needed to clear my head." His father hummed not thoroughly pleased with his eldest's answer. Charlie was exhausted with his children he thought dealing with a teenage daughter was bad throwing in a son with an addiction problem that was never home made it worse. "Where'd you go?" Charlie hoped his son didn't go anywhere unsafe. "The playground watched the sunrise," Silas stated pouring himself a cup of coffee. Charlie knew his son was like the weather and couldn't control him even if you wanted to. The fact that his son was legally an adult didn't help.

   " Bella gone?" Silas asked looking up from his cup of coffee. He knew the roads were too slick for his sister to drive the old truck best if he just drive her. " Not yet." Charlie was a man of few words and that comforted Silas. " Need me to take her to school?" Charlie rubbed a hand down his face not knowing what to do or say. " I think the Cullen boy is coming to pick her up." Silas snorted at the statement he couldn't believe that his sister was allowed to be alone with another boy, especially one that was older than her. " hmm I'm surprised you're allowing her out of the house with someone of the opposite gender." Silas snickered at his father's leniency. Charlie became stricter after Silas's first time at an in-patient facility but after a while, Charlie went back to ' just let me know that you're safe.' " She's not twelve anymore nor are you fourteen overdosing on ana's couch" Silas was slightly offended that his father would go that low. " Low blow dad maybe you should realize you're not thirty-seven sending your son off to his shitty mom's every time he fucks up anymore"

   Silas sneered at his father pouring out the rest of his coffee in the sink and siting his cup down to be washed. Charlie knew he fucked up he spoke without thinking and ended up hurting his son in the process. Bella came down the stairs looking confused " what's up with Si?" Charlie sighed putting his hands in his face and then looking back up at his daughter. " Just a small argument that's all." Charlie tried to reassure Bella but he knew there was no use. " Maybe I should stay home and hang out with him today" Bella knew Charlie had said something that upset her brother and she wasn't buying Charlie's excuses. " That's fine, I've got to go to work." Charlie didn't bother telling Bella no because she knew words were said and she thought she had to clean up the mess that was caused. After Charlie left to go to the station Edward arrived to take Bella to school. Right before Edward could knock on the door it opened to reveal Bella in her bedhead glory. The way Bella was dressed made him smile. " I'm staying home with Si today," she said letting out a yawn. Edward was shocked to hear that news he wanted to question it but he decided it was best to leave it alone. " Call me if you need anything," Edward said with a smile still admiring Bella. 

  " yep, bye" Bella sounded a little irritated with Edward. Bella then shut the door basically in Edward's face he got the message that she wanted him to leave. Bella walked back up to Silas's room getting back under the covers to sleep the day away beside her brother. Silas woke up to the sound of Bella's phone ringing. Not caring who was calling he picked up " hello Bellas phone who's this" Silas's voice was raspy and dry from sleep. "It's Edward may I speak to Bella" Silas wasn't too fond of the idea of his kid sister dating a boy, especially an older boy. He knew what boys their age were after and it was only one thing. " No can do Edweirdo she's snoozing right now can I get back to you in three to five business days?" Silas knew he was being petty and facetious what he didn't know was that the whole Cullen family could hear him deny Edward from speaking to his mate. " Me personally, I wouldn't let someone disrespect me like that" Emmet was only adding fuel to the fire making Edward grit his teeth in annoyance. " Edweirdo, huh that's a good one that's your new name Edweirdo," Rosalie smirked enjoying her brother being tormented by the human male. 

   " Could you wake her up for me it's rather important?" Silas snorted at the boy's grammar. " No can do Mr. talks like he's a man from the 1800s." Silas was enjoying making Edward frustrated as soon as he started to enjoy it Bella woke up. " Si? who ya talkin' to?" Silas grinned at her mischievously " Your boyfriend." Bella's eyes widened and snatched the phone from her brother." Hey! I was having a conversation with Edweirdo you ass." Bella rolled her eyes at her brother ignoring his whining. " Sorry about Silas he can be a pain sometimes." She said cutting her eyes at her brother that faked an innocent look. "It's alright Bella I understand" Bella blushed and played with her hair at Edward's voice. Silas very loudly fake gagged at the two "Gross" He said loud enough for both Edward and Bella could hear. "Bella listen if you two are gonna have phone sex please do it in your room" Bella's face went completely red at her brothers' words " Silas!" She yelled swatting his arm in return all Silas did was laugh at her embarrassment.

Edward: I need to speak to my future wife

Silas: how about no
