C.Cullen; between lions and men

Act I; Scene XV

      

                            Tell me every terrible thing you ever did, and let me love you anyways.

Silas knew he was taking a leap of faith when he accepted Carslile's offer on going on a walk. The sun had already set and the only light from above was the moon. It was peaceful but Silas had begun to grow suspicious of Carslile. He began to notice things about the man by their third session. His skin was unnaturally cold at first he brushed it off as anima, but then his suspicions grew with how the man's eyes were a shimmer away from being gold no humans eyes were that color it was nearly impossible without contacts, next was how the man talked it was as if he was from another century, what truly set Silas off was the hostile air around the man like he was predator and Silas his prey. 

    "Doctor.." There was a pause as Silas gathered his thoughts on what to say " I hate to be rude and intrude on your personal life-" There was no easy way to put or word what he wanted to say so he could only come right out and say it. " But you and your family are... Different correct?" Silas was trying to not sound rude but he was curious and suspicious. Although it was a statement more than it was a curiosity and deep down Silas knew that it was a statement. Carslile sighed he knew the day Silas questioned him or his family members would come no matter how much he wished it wouldn't. " You would be correct in your assumptions Mr.Swan." Silas made sure to sit down on the stone bench they were just about to pass. He felt as if he was going to need grounding for the next few minutes of what was about to come. " I'm sure you have your theories." 

   Carslile began to feel ashamed of what he was, he was unable to meet Silas's eyes so he looked down at his shoes. Oh how badly he wished he were human at times like these. " Allow me to ease those if you wouldn't mind." Silas snorted at the doctor's formality. Although Carslile's formality was so very endearing to Silas. " No need to be so formal doctor." Silas tried his best to cut the tension with a hint of flirting. "My family and I are what you would call Vampires, Immortals, or even the undead and so on." Silas was not surprised or frightened in the slightest. Vampires were top of his list of theories right beside Zombies, Sex demons, time travelers, and witches. " No surprise there, you're all kinda shitty at hiding it. What with Emmett's scary strength, Rosalie's beauty, Jasper and his well ... issues, Alice is pretty normal from my standpoint, and Jesus Edward man needs to work on his social skills." Silas was being dead serious although he was trying to make Carslile laugh. Carslile was genuinely surprised that Silas wasn't running for the hills yet. 

   " Yes well, I've had much more time to practice than the children." Silas wasn't truly terrified but he did worry about what was to come of his knowledge of the family. All Carslile could do was chuckle, Silas was different indeed. " I'm surprised you aren't terrified" Now it was Silas's time to laugh. He was afraid of many things but the supernatural was not one on his list. "Doctor-" Carslile cut Silas off with a soft smile." Please do call me Carslile, I insist." Silas shook his head in amusement. "Then from now on call me Silas, Mr.Swan is my father" Carslile had never been this amused in a hundred years. He knew now that Silas would continue to amuse him until death. "I'm afraid of many things Carslile-" Silas made sure to express the man's first name as he insisted he uses it. " But the supernatural is not one, I've seen things that would terrify you...Doctor." Silas was being cheeky by addressing Carslile as doctor after he was specifically told to call him Carslile. " Didn't I just tell you to call me Carslile?" Carslile was flirting back with Silas, oh how oblivious Silas was to the doctor's love for him. 

    The sound of the classical Clair de lune began to echo throughout the garden. Carslile gave Silas a mischievous smile as he helped Silas up. Pulling him close Carslile leaned down into Silas's ear to whisper. "Dance with me." He would have begged if Silas had not given in to the man's request. As the two slowly danced to the classical music together everything seemed to be at peace for once. No worrying about their lives or what would happen tomorrow they just enjoyed the other's embrace. " my dear Silas you do not know how much I already love you." Carslile admitted to Silas in a whisper only for him to hear. " My my, Doctor Cullen, how very unprofessional of you." Silas's whisper was just as quiet as it was playful. 

   Carslile gently and slowly spun Silas only to bring him back into the loving embrace that they once held. "Between Lions and Men." Carslile understood the very meaning of Silas's statement. " Oh, how the predator fell in love with its prey." Silas could only grin at the irony the statement held. For the first time in a long time, Silas felt loved, wanted, understood, needed, and even cherished. " Oh, how the predator so sick and sadistic." 

   Carslile gave a breathy laugh at how true the statements were. Carslile could only hope for an eternity with the angelic male but for now, he was going to start with forever. " But alas how masochistic the prey must be." Was Carsliles reply to Silas's statement. Silas could only grin like a fool as Carslile put him in a classical dip, he was hoping for a kiss from his metaphorical prince charming. But sadly Carslile only allowed their lips to brush before pulling him back up. There was just one thing that Silas truly wondered about. " Does Bella know?" came Silas's question. "Yes" Was the only reply Carslile gave before beginning to Sway with Silas to what seemed never ending music again.

( I was super inspired by the classic Clair de lune that played in the whole Edwards bedroom scene)

I know I literally just updated a few hours ago but I just had the inspiration to write. So here's to such a beautiful moment between our residential love birds.  I'm also glad I finally found a way for the whole ' I'm not human' reveal.

  I know you loved how I put parts of Edward's wedding speech in there and the remix of the classic " so the lion fell in love with the lamb" "what a stupid lamb" and " what a sick, masochistic lion". I felt as if I need to portray the actual role of a vampire-human love story.  With the vampire being the predator and the human being the prey. The whole ' Between lions and men' part it just kinda means between predator and prey circling back to the human-vampire love story. Not even gonna lie I thought it was quite witty on my part

Anyways I'm excited to bring more Carslile/Silas scenes
