After several hours of intimacy, Minho and I decided to get up and quickly split up, he had to go convince some of the other Gladers and visit Thomas in the pit. And yes, I have been thinking about the possibility of coming along with him to get out of this place.

I didn't want to stay any longer with the Grievers who would greet each night until morning came. I might be their main dish.

The thing is how do I tell Gally this, will he come with us? Most likely no, right. I mean he was totally against Thomas' idea of escaping through the Griever Hole. But I also thought that way a while ago until Minho convinced me.

After I finished buttoning my shorts and wearing a new, spotless shirt, I walked out of the hut. I stopped after passing Newt, his shirt a little dirty with mud. He said he had just finished burying the bodies of the Gladers who had fallen last night, including Alby. They buried him in Deadheads. So I took the time to visit the newly made tombs. This could be my grave if only Gally hadn't come and pulled me into the box.

I crouched down, unsure which grave Alby belonged to. But still, I put my palms together and started praying for their poor souls, may they not be trapped in the circle of hell even though they are gone now. I raised my head slowly, I hope I really can get out of this place alive, and walk side by side with Minho in the future.

I stood back up and pulled my body away from the Deadheads, back into the Glade fields, which were now mixed colors.

The sky was already turning orange by the time I got near Homestead, just as Gally ordered Thomas and Teresa to be pulled out of the pit.

Looks like Gally is sticking with his longing to hang Thomas and Teresa as sacrifices for the Grievers. I wasn't sure what Minho was planning, or how he was going to free them both, or who else was on our side.

Gally is talking to one of the guys from the construction, our eyes meet for a moment, I try to smile, but Gally immediately breaks our eye contact and turns away to continue his conversation with his friends.

I felt a little afraid to see the drastic change in his attitude, even though this morning he was still being kind to me, and really cared about my safety. Is there something going on that I'm not aware of?

The Gladers marched Thomas and Teresa to the Maze door, sharp knives and sharp reeds in their hands, just as they had banish Ben away. I walked in the back row, wanting to keep my distance from all the chaos that would ensue.

I'm still thinking about Gally's cold stare just now.

They tied Thomas and Teresa in a bamboo. I wasn't sure what happened next because my mind was elsewhere until I heard Gally suddenly order his co-workers to bring me to the front. I was snapped from my thoughts, and felt a bit panicked by the men suddenly dragging me forward through the line of Gladers.

"W-what happened? What are you going to do?" I asked Gally just as I got to the front of the line.

Gally's jaw tightened slightly as he answered my question "Didn't you hear what Thomas just said? He said he remembered you three of you behind that computer screen together."

"What?! How is that possible? I mean yes my memory was wiped but.."

"I'm sorry Maeve, I can't believe anything that you said anymore.." Gally looked away. "And maybe it's for the best.." he said in a low voice almost like a whisper if I didn't grasp it immediately.

"Go tie up Maeve and drag her up beside the two traitors." Gally ordered again.

This time I rebelled by elbowing those holding my hands, and moving to grab Gally's shirt, with a hint of anger mixed with disappointment, I tugged at his shirt and said "How could you do this to me? I thought you were a friend who I could believe in. You are always by my side to listen to my complaints, argue with me, you even saved my life last night! Answer me, Gally, what's with your sudden change?!"

Gally caught my hand "I told you this is for the best."

"What do you mean by the best?! By using people as sacrifices?!"

"But that's what you guys did to us Maeve!"

"But I still don't remember a thing!"

Gally paused for a second before continuing in a low voice, "Come on, stop it. I know you're planning to go against me too, I know you're on their side. I saw you Maeve, and it hurts. You know that I like you, and in the end, you will still choose him over me."

I frowned "What do you mean you saw me?"

Gally looked a little reluctant to answer, "..at your hut, a few hours ago. You were with him."

I froze at that, Gally managed to get my hand off his shirt and his builder friends also managed to pull me towards the bamboo spear as Gally ordered.

He saw us?

My eyes immediately ran to find Minho's figure who was not far from where they made me stand now.

Minho also frowned when he saw my expression. He didn't seem to have heard the last sentence Gally had said. His face showed concern when he saw me tied to a bamboo spear that was impelled into the ground, side by side with Thomas and Teresa.

"I'm sorry…" Thomas said quietly. I just stared at him out of the corner of my eye.

Still not accepting the treating I was getting, I kicked the man who was tying me to the bamboo, "Not that easy mate, you're still 100 years too soon to hang me." I said managed to get out of the bind.

Minho suddenly screamed and threw his knife at me, "Maeve, untie them."

As the Gladers began to split into two sides, Minho and some of his friends and Newt and Chuck gathered in front of us, facing Gally's group, and I reluctantly started walking to cut the ties that were on Thomas' hands and feet and around Teresa's wrists.

"I hope you will be careful in the future, Thomas. I will never know, whether this knife will only cut through the ropes or your flesh one day." I can't help it, I still can't believe I'm working with him for WICKED?!

Thomas shuddered at my warning and nodded slowly.

I returned to Minho's side afterwards, and listened to Thomas lecture telling the Gladers to think clearly and come with us to get out of this place.

I whispered to Minho, "I didn't prepare anything for this sudden escape, I have nothing with me except the knife you threw earlier."

He whispered back "I know, that's why we told Chuck to bring supplies like shirts and pants that are in boxes and haven't been distributed yet, I'm sure there is a T-shirt or shirts that will suit you when we look at them. But for now what we need to focus on is to leave the Glade safely."

It was a bit of a surprise that almost half more of the Gladers decided to follow us, and Gally gave up and let us go after the door he called death.

The Gladers start running into the Maze and I stop and turn to check once again "Are you sure Gally with your decision? You can still go with us."

Gally looks away from me again "And what? Seeing you two making out right in front of my eyes the whole time?"

My heart was crushed to hear the answer from him. I know Gally has always been nice to me but I never even considered the possibility that he might like me in that way, absolutely never.

Minho's voice called out for me from inside the Maze, and I nodded slowly, "Okay, I guess this is a farewell indeed. Goodbye, Gally."

I turned and started to jog to catch up with the others who had gone deeper into the Maze.
