Nessa took her Eeyore stuffed animal from her suitcase and placed it on her bed. Her mother and father gave it to her when she was two, on their first and last trip to Disneyland together. She never left the house without it. She placed the plushie on her bed and gave her room one last approval nod before proceeding to belly's room. Jeremiah was lying on her bed, occupying himself with junior mint, belly's stuffed bear.
"Great you're here ness, I was just telling belly about going swimming before dinner," the tall boy told the small girl, before grabbing her hand and guiding her to belly's bed.
"Yeah, I know, but I can't," Belly told Jeremiah.
This caused the small raven hair girl to frown, Nessa gave her a confused look, asking belly "why not?"
"I have to go to talk to mom" she rolled her eyes, and Nessa nodded slowly whispering a small oh okay.
"Ness?" Jeremiah turned towards her, "I've been wanting to go in the ocean all day, but I have been waiting for you guys to get here" he begged her.
Jeremiah always had a way with his words, it seemed to always make her unable to say no to him.
"Are you sure?" Nessa asked the girl, feeling bad that she couldn't go to the beach with her sister.
"Yeah! It's no problem, don't worry we can swim tonight!" Belly smiled at the small girl.
Nessa nodded, "okay, give me a minute to change into my bathing suit" she turned towards Jeremiah who quickly nodded as she left Belly's room.
She took out her plain black bikini from her underwear drawer. It was simple, but she liked simplicity. She made sure to remove all of her jewelry before changing. She didn't want to be the person who lost her bracelets in the water again. The only necklaces she wore were a small choker with an N on it, a matching necklace she wore with her belly, and the necklace Jeremiah had just given her. She hadn't taken her matching necklace off since she was ten years old. She had no intention of ever taking it off, nor the necklace Jeremiah had given her.
After grabbing her towel, she went downstairs, already spotting Jeremiah there waiting for her.
"Ness, wow" she called to her amazed.
"Wow, what?" she shyly asked, not understanding his comment since she wore something basic.
"Nothing, you just look- wow" she answered back.
"Relax it's just a bathing suit" she shrugged her shoulders.
"A very flattering bathing suit," he told her, scanning her up and down. Taking in all her beauty.
"Jere, honey, are you okay?" Nessa teased him, and he just rolled his eyes at the small girl. "Nopeee" he dragged the e.
"You just look perfect" he answered her, nudging her.
This caused her to smile, "thanks, your abs suit you" she told him shyly.
"Oh, fr?"
"Fr" she nodded her head.
"I started working out, just for you ness"
Hearing this caused the small girl to roll her eyes, "are you sure it's for me? Or for all your side hoes?" she joked around with him.
This caused the dirty blonde hair boy to laugh loudly.
"You know you're my main, ness" he smiled, wrapping his large arm around her tiny shoulder. She giggled at his response. "I better be Jere."
After some small talk, they made it to the beach. She smiled, she has been waiting all year for this.
"You wanna race?" he asked the small girl, taking her out of her thoughts.
"I can't," she told him.
"Come on" he begged her.
"Your legs are too long, I can't race with you"
"Ness, come on" he started to whine but stopped.
Before Jeremiah could finish his sentence Nessa took off in a sprint toward the ocean. "Nessa, that's not fair you cheated!" he called, chasing after her, nessa turned around to see where he was, but she finally realize it was a mistake. He caught her by her small slim waist. He lifted Nessa in the air, he ran into the water teasing her that he'll throw her in the water.
"Jeremiah, please don't" she begged him, after giggling so much. "Not after you say the magic words" he called out to her.
She tapped her chin, thinking. Making him look at her in awe. She was truly beautiful.
"Oh! Nessa is the prettiest ever!" she called out.
"Close, but no it's not it," he told her, dunking her in the water. Before fully letting her go, Nessa held onto him, pulling him into the water as well.
Jeremiah fell on her, stopping himself before he was completely on her after Nessa plugged in the water, which was thankfully not deep. Nessa reappeared, spitting water and looking around for Jeremiah, only to find him nowhere to be found. She searched but couldn't find him. He lifted her up from behind and spun her around just as she was about to turn around. As the boy continued to spin her around, Nessa curled her legs and laughed. She turned around to face the dirty blonde boy when he finally set her down.
Nessa was staring up at the boy with a smile that told him things that he still can understand. But he knew one thing for sure. He wanted nothing more than to kiss the small girl in front of him. Nessa felt the same way. But before either of them could, Nessa pushed Jeremiah into the water with a giggle.
