"The Approaching Dusk"

~~

The loud sound of the music broke through the big speakers as everyone on the dance floor were dancing wildly. And the spotlight fell on that one dancer who moves like there's no bone in his body. That's none other than the great Jung Hoseok. Soon Jimin and Jungkook joined him too.

They danced like there's no tomorrow, moving in sync with lots of cheers around them.

And when the music died down with something lighter in the background, Jimin and Jungkook found them in each other's arms, not minding others, just them in their own world.

Jungkook liked how perfectly Jimin fit into his embrace, like the pieces of puzzle. Jimin had his hands hovering above Jungkook's, as they were dancing to the beat, feeling the soft thumping of Jungkook's heart against his back. The song matching the atmosphere made Jimin say the words he never gets enough of.

"I love you, Jungkook-ah." Jimin whispered against Jungkook's neck, which made the latter smile at the sudden confession.

"I love you too, my love." Jungkook stated and placed a kiss on Jimin's forehead. Jimin had always loved it, the kisses Jungkook gives always had that sense of security which makes Jimin feel content. It leaves him wanting more. He craves it. He's addicted.

After a few minutes of dancing, Jimin heard Jungkook saying something against his ear.

"Wanna have some fresh air?"

"Yes." Jimin replied, and let Jungkook pull him to the terrace which had a few partitions like a room with the night sky in view. Jungkook found a place for them to sit and placed the beer bottles on the side which Jimin just noticed.

It was so silent here in the contrast of the party downstairs. The party was lively, wild and youthful, while this silence here is so peaceful and calming.

Jimin breathed a lung full of fresh air with closed eyes. The soft breeze of air caressing his hair, and the sky above them suddenly looked so beautiful.

"Do you see that star?" Jimin asked, pointing towards a particular star shining brightly in between a group of not so shiny stars. Jungkook found it, and hummed.

"That's my Eomma. Appa used to take me to the terrace to talk to her whenever I would cry missing her." Jimin stated, still glancing at the sky with a smile, while Jungkook was staring at him instead of the sky.

"But I couldn't find Appa there." Jimin said in a quiet voice. And Jungkook couldn't afford the sad look on Jimin's face. So he answered what he felt would ease Jimin's mind.

"Maybe he's somewhere around looking out for you. Hey, do you believe in guardian angels?" Jimin first laughed, but nodded nonetheless, as he did believe in those myths and all about those magical creatures.

"Good thing. I believe in them too. And I feel that your father is your guardian angel, you know like he would be somewhere near, watching you. What would you have said to him if he was here?" Jungkook asked, trying to distract Jimin, and Jimin then gave it a thought about what he would have said to his father if he was here.

"Honestly, I have a lot of things I want to talk about. About everything. About us." Jimin then looked back at Jungkook and found the latter smiling at him.

"I'm one step ahead of you already." Jungkook said with a smug smile. "Every family member of mine knows about you. Namjoon hyung, his parents, Jin hyung, Yoongi hyung, Lia, Jisoo noona, everyone of them. There's just one person left."
