“Should I?”

Jimin came out of his room a few minutes later of just sitting there all alone while his daughter was sleeping. He checked the time, and saw that the sun had already set and his father hadn’t arrived back yet.

He came back to the living room, only to find the place crowded by his friends. When did they all come? And why did no one inform him?

Taehyung was the first to notice him and approached him with a jump on his steps before crushing the latter in a tight embrace. “I missed you, Chim.”

Jimin smiled, tapping his arms to let him release his tight grip around him. “I missed you too, but I’ll die if you don’t free me.”

Taehyung huffed but released him nonetheless, only to get attacked by the whole group at once, which Taehyung joined in too with a laugh.

“We all missed you too.” They all exclaimed in unison, before releasing the smaller to let him fill in some air in his lungs. Jimin laughed at them, and caressed the hair of the kid who still had her arms around him.

“Joo-hi.” Jimin called out softly, getting a hum from the girl. “How are you, little friend?”

“I’m fine. But you don’t look like you’re fine.” Joo-hi pointed out, to which others nodded as they all saw how Jimin looked. Eyes tired, dark circles visible enough for them to know that Jimin needs a lot of rest.

“Joo-hi is right. You need to rest, Oppa.” Lia agreed as she came forward to him, taking his hand and sat him down on the couch.

“But..” Jimin attempted to speak, but got cut off by Jin.

“No buts. You’re only allowed to sit here.”

“Hyung, it’s time to prepare for dinner. Dad has to take his medicine early.” Jimin tried to reason, but was only met with a glare from the latter.

“Jiminie, don’t worry about dinner. We’re all here. We all will help. You need to just relax and have fun.” Hoseok chimed in, getting nods from others.

“Namjoon Hyung too?” Jimin asked, and every pair of eyes landed on the person in question, who had his hands up in surrender.

“I’m only here to keep Uncle Kang-soo company. No involvement in the kitchen.”

They all erupted into a fit of giggles, finding it funny how Namjoon could joke about his clumsiness. He never minded though. He had always been thoughtful about his weakness and handled things with maturity everytime.

Jimin glanced at the people around him, his friends, Joo-hi, Lia, Jungkook and Kang-soo. They all had smiles on their faces, happiness visible in their eyes. When Jimin had gone away from here four years ago, he had thought that he would never ever see a day like this where his loved ones would be there with him, smiling and laughing with him. He had thought they all would be mad at him, and would cut him off from their friend list. But, thankfully, none of it happened.

Instead, they all understood his situation and accepted him back as if nothing had happened four years ago. Like Jimin had been here all this time. He shook his head with a smile, not wanting to end up crying with these thoughts.

He instead focused on the kid in his lap. Little Yong-sun had been making grabby hands towards him, playing with his fingers as Jimin was acting in a funny way for the kid to make him giggle. Joo-hi and Lia were seated on either side of him, playing with Yong-sun.

“Lia. Here…” Jimin forwarded the kid in his arms to Lia. “...hold him for a moment. I’ll just go and take a look at the preparation for the dinner. Hm.” Lia nodded before taking Yong-sun in her arms and Jimin stood up, heading to the kitchen.
