Originally you were the one pulling Latil away from the hall but then she switched it up and now you were chasing after her once again. Only this time she was crying from her heart broken from a man undeserving of her. You panted as you ran. Maybe you should ask your brother to help you out with your stamina a bit.

You were really behind on chasing her to the point when you arrived at her room, the head maid was already at the door. You could hear her sobbing from outside the room. It really broke your heart seeing her like this.

"OH MY!!" You heard the head maid exclaim. She ran to Latil's side and picked her up while you hovered over her shoulder.

"What is the matter my lady?! What has upset you so? Hmm?" She asked.

"He's..." Latil started.

"Yes?" The head maid looked at her worriedly.

"Hyacinth is... Hyacinth is marrying someone else" Latil wailed.

"WHAT?!" The head maid was just as surprised as you were when you first heard it.

"THAT COULDN'T BE! THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE! EVERYONE KNOWS HOW MUCH HE CARES FOR YOU!" She shouted in denial.

"Are you sure the delegation isn't here for you, my lady?" She asked hoping it wasn't true.

"I even heard them mention the bride's name.... He's marrying someone named Aini..." Latil replied.

The maid could only look at her in silence.

"Love? What a joke." Latil said emotionlessly. It seemed as if she had just finished walking down memory lane. "Worthless a**. Traitor." And she sure changed her tune fast. Latil was sitting on the windowsill and it was already dark outside. "Bastard." At this point she's calling Hyacinth lots of names that you would approve of considering the situation.

"I should have prayed for Hyacinth to always love me." Latil said depressingly. "Instead of praying for his safety..."

"Now, now Latil. You shouldn't say that. He doesn't deserve you anyways." You told her. You would love to call him names too but you really couldn't considering he was an emperor. Damn social standings. "Also you should get down from there it's dangerous." Latil sighed.

"OH MY GOODNESS!! PLEASE GET DOWN FROM THERE, YOU HIGHNESS!!" The head maid said while flailing around. "IT'S TOO DANGEROUS!"

"It's not. Unless my father was too miserly to hire good builders." Latil told her.

The head maid could only sigh. "Oh dear..."

"Also... Hyacinth is a bastard." Latil said for the umpteenth time today.

"My lady...." The maid looked at her in sympathy. You also looked at her wishing things weren't like this.

Just then the head maid jolted as if she just remembered something. She wished around as if making sure no one was there. There was no one there except for them.. "What are you doing?" Latil asked.

"This js for you." She pulled out a letter handing it to Latil. Your eyes widen in surprise.

"A letter..?" Latil took it, eyeing it curiously. "Hmm... It's anonymous." She said when she turned it around.

"Someone from the delegation.."

"The delegation?!" Latil perked up.

"Does that mean...?" You mumbled.

"Why yes... He quietly pulled me aside and asked me to give it to you."

"Quietly?" Latil asked. As if she just realised something. "HYACINTH! IT MUST BE A LETTER FROM HYACINTH...! But wait.." Latil with trembling hands opened the seal.

You watched in anticipation on what exactly could the letter contain. Latil went quiet when she read the letter. You wondered what could make her do so.

"Um.... What does it say my lady?" The head maid asked. But Latil didn't respond.

"Latil? What does it say?" You also asked only to be greeted by silence. Latil only crumpled the paper. Great. Now you really wanted to punt that man into the ground.

Latil was currently having breakfast with her father, the emperor. So currently you were roaming around the palace. You stopped at the training ground hoping to see a certain captain.

You saw a tuft of red hair in the midst of the crowd of knights currently training. You carefully headed that way avoiding the knights not wanting to disrupt their training.

"Brother!" You called out. Said person who was sparing stopped what he was doing and looked over his shoulder to be greeted by the sight of you. You smiled at him and he smiled back. He dismissed the knight he was training with and went over to you.

"Y/n? What's up?" He asked you, stopping in front of you. Here was your older brother, Sir Sonnaught, Captain of the Imperial Guard and also Latil's personal guard.

"Nothing. Can't I come visit my dear brother from time to time?" You answered smiling sweetly at him.

He chuckled at you and ruffled you h/c hair. "Hey my hair!" You yelped at him. You liked the action whenever he did it but it would always leave your hair in a mess.

"Well dear sister, how are you doing anyways?" He asked you, smiling at you, who was trying to fix your hair.

"Doing well but with what just happened it's a bit hectic. " Your smile dropped a bit thinking of Latil's situation. You saw your brother's smile drop slightly too. "How bout you?"

"Nothing out of the ordinary. Also relay my sympathies to Her Highness." Sonnaught told you.

You eyed him curiously but brushed it off. "Will do. Say you're going to Karisen as the wedding delegation aren't you?"

"What about it?" He asked.

"Take me with you please." You put both of your hands together facing him.

He stared at you dumbfounded. "Y/n you know I'm not the one calling shots here. You're going to have to ask her highness for that."

"Awww come on, you're no fun." You pouted.

"And I heard a certain someone was out of breath trying to catch up to her highness." Sonnaught smirked.

"It's not my fault Latil's so fast!" You blushed embarrassed.

Sonnaught ruffle your hair again. "There, there. I'll help you with your poor excuse of a stamina then."

You pushed his hand off your head slightly fuming and still red from embarrassment. "Thanks." You mumbled.

Your wish to be going to Karium came true. The emperor had granted Latil's wish of going to Tarium as long as she 1. Gave Hyacinth a good hard stomp on his leg and 2. Went as the wedding delegation. She asked you to come along and you were happy to oblige.

The lot of you were in front of the palace's gate and Latil was riding on a white horse. She was wearing pants opposed to the usual dresses and gowns. You were unable to ride a horse as you were never taught how to sit in front of your brother on his horse. He didn't mind it at all but you kept apologising to him. Sorry that his lovely horseback ride to Tarium was getting squashed by a plus one that was his dear sister.

Eventually the delegation arrived at Tarium and you were eyeing it in wonder as you had never left Karisen before. It really was a magnificent place. Although you had hoped that you were there in better circumstances and not there for your employer's ex-lover's wedding.
