A few days has passed since the day the three of you had went out to go snooping at the soon to be consorts. It was finally the day for the induction of Latil's harem. Your little group were on a balcony and Latil was looking through a spyglass. You could hear that it was very lively at the front gates of the palace. That place was bustling and you wondered if the consorts were going to arrive fine. You looked at your brother and found out that he looked kind of bored. Lately you've been noticing and realising somethings which added to your suspission of this one thing but you werent all too sure about it. Maybe you'll ask him about it soon.

"Wooow..." Latil exclaimed while looking at the situation. "Looks like they might have a hard time getting into the palace. I'm glad we limited the attendees to close family members of the consorts."

"The guests whom the consorts invited will have a hard time getting out of the palace as well." Sir Sonnaught huffed as if something was bothering him. You and Latil both turned to look at him. "What is it, your majesty?"

"Sir Sonnaught you...." Latil started but was interupted by some cheering.

"That's Tasir Anghes! Anghes is the first to arrive!!"

"He must be coming straight from the Anghes Trading Company, your majesty." Sir Sonnaught said while you tugged at his sleeve. He looked at you questiongly.

"I don't know what's up with you today brother but know that I'll be right behind you. I do have my suspissions but I won't push you to satisfy my curiosity." You smile trying to give him at least a bit of comfort. He looked at you suprised but just gave you a small smile and laced his hand around yours. You hummed happily knowing that he acknowledged what you said.

"I can't believe they're trying to jump onto the carriage." Latil commented.

"Depending on who's carriage they jump onto it won't end well eitherways." You sweatdropped at the people's boldness.

"Shall we send more guards out to the gate?" Sir Sonnaught asked.

"Uh.... No I don't  think that will be necessary." Even without a spyglass you could see a group of black horses making their way to the palace. Talk about making an enterence. You were amazed at it. So this must be the very least of what the king of the mercenary was capable of. "That must be the Mercenary King and The Black Reapers Mercenary Company. They're maintaing perfect formation. It's quite impressive."

Soon after, Ranamun and Guesta arrived within seconds of each other which you hope they didn't fight with each other. With their arrival the gates to the palace were closed.

You were in the great hall standing next to the butler. You were fidgeting and unconciously playing with your fingers as the consorts stood not far away from you and some were even looking your way. You never noticed how nice the floor tile in the great hall looked. The geometric shapes were very unique. 'Latil please get in here faster' You said in your head crying.

As if she heard your prayers the announcement of her arrival started. "We now present the 19th Emperor of Tarium, Latrasil Valentine Tarium." Latil made her enterence wearing a uniform. You light up seeing her. She looked really badass in uniform. I guess what they said about women in suits really was true. She made her way to the consorts and all of you bowed at her arrival.

You didn't take the time to look at the consorts earlier because you were nervous but now that you were looking at the group..... They really are drop dead gorgeous. You looked at them one by one. Tasir looked really confident and as if he was trying to look seductive in front of Latil he was smirking slightly. You had to give it to him though it could make a girl swoon. You then look over to Prince Klein. He looked quite bored as if this whole thing was a bore. Then you looked at Ranamun. He seemed nonchalant to everything happening right now. Then you took a peek at the man who you, Latil and your brother was trying to find yesterday, Carlein. He had light blonde hair and looked very pale. He looked quite frail despite his whole frame fitting of a knight. His green eyes were really nice to look at. He has that kind of unnatural beauty to him. You then looked over to the last consort and it turns out you weren't the only one nervous of this whole ordeal.

Guesta was standing a bit behind everyone and looking nervously at the other consorts as if he couldn't compete with the others. This was also the first time you were looking at him in person rather than the picture. Pictures really doesn't do people's beauty justice sometimes. He had short light orange hair with bangs that stop just above his eyes. His hair looked really soft and fluffy. You wondered what it would feel like. Wait what? You blushed slightly at the thought and shook it out of your head. His eyes were a lovely dark brown colour that reminded you of the fresh soil at a beautiful garden. Just then he seemed to noticed that you were looking at him and made eye contact with you. He seemed suprised to see that you were looking at him. You jolted a bit suprised and shy away from his gaze. You couldn't believe that you got caught checking him out. Your face reddened a darker shade and your eyes darted all over the room trying to ride of the shame and embarrassment you felt. If your brother knew about it you would be teased relentlessly.

During your little internal turmoil, the butler went up to Latil and whispered a few words to her to which she nodded at. Then he went up to you and you went and grabbed what he needed. You handed the butler the contract scrolls for the consorts. He called out to each consort and you handed him one by one each scroll to him to be given to each consort. When it reached Guesta's turn you noticed that he was looking at you the whole while you were passing each scroll and now he took glances at you while he signed the contract. You only looked at the red carpet, trying to avoid his gaze, your face painted light red.

They soon pledged their eternal love and loyalty to Latil and the feast began after Latil took her seat at her table in the middle.

You helped brought in some food to Latil's table and placed it. After you finished Latil wanted to dismiss you but you refused saying you had to practice getting used to being in a room full of people despite the slight shaking and fidgeting you were doing.

You looked around the room. You saw that the duke was glaring with another noble at his table. You sweatdropped as you could almost see lightning coming out of their glaring contest. At another table you saw a noble making a sale to someone. The nerve he got to be scamming someone at Latil's banquet. The table which hosted the Black Reapers......where terrifying to say at the very least. Silent as ever. The only sounds were from the clinking of their silverware. Now the consort table was..... interesting? Two of them were having a glaring contest. Tasir was trying to make conversation with Carlein and Guesta was keeping to himself. You wondered if they all would get along living in one place.

You were absentmindedly staring at the consort table until you noticed a pair of eyes were also staring back at you. You glance up to be greeted by a pair of dark brown eyes staring at you. He really seemed to be looking a lot at you after catching you checking him out. You go red at the memory and you looked away from him, not before catching the faintest smile which made even more blood rush to your cheeks. Latil who you were standing next to seemed to notice the interaction and elbowed you with a smirk. You got flustered when she started teasing you all the while those pair of eyes never left your figure.

i cant tell if this chapter is finished to the point i wanted to write it or not cause its been sitting here for a while but it seems good. Sorry for slow updates. Schools been hectic and i think the reason why ive been putting off writing during holidays is maybe cause i have no clue how to carry on with the story to follow the plot a bit. Itll take me a while but yeah.... Anyways enjoy
