You were helping Latil out while she was taking a bath but suddenly it was found out that the late emperor's tomb had been vandalised. You had been advised against it by your brother on tagging along since you had just visited the physician and he advised that you not strain yourself much as you were still recovering. So here you are wandering around the palace grounds since Latil had quite literally ordered you to not do any chores or whatnot.

You being the stubborn person you are decided to still do some chores since it was sorta your responsibility as a lady in waiting. Unfortunately Latil knew you and had commanded that the other servants not let you do a single chore so you're left sulking. You ended up going to the kitchen(?) to find some snacks.

You bumped into the palace chef there and he gracefully gave you some fruit tarts. Nothing like sugar making your worries seem worthless. It was absolutely delicious as the sweet and juicy fruits seemed to refresh you. You spotted a trolley full of the exact same fruit tarts and you inquired the chef.

"Sir? What's that trolley for? Isn't her Majesty out for business?"

"Oh that's for the consorts. I'll tell some maids to send them over later." The chef answered.

"I'll take them over." You pushed the trolley out before the chef had a chance to stop you.

"Wait!!" You had left him looking at the spot you were previously in. "Her Majesty is going to be furious...."

You had pushed the trolley to the consorts palace without much thought. There were five tarts, enough for each one of them. You were at the entrance wondering who you should give it to first. Since the place was in a donut shape you could either go clockwise or counter-clockwise. In the end you were knocking on Ranamun's door.

You remembered that encounter with him that one time and you decided it was better to get it over with. Although you had a feeling that he didn't even bother with the encounter. Ranamun's helper was the one who opened the door and you gestured to the trolley. He let you in and showed you where to leave it.

It seems that he was busy with paperwork which does make sense as his father is the duke. He glanced up when you entered seeing you with the tarts but returned to his work right after. Seems like the last encounter was the last thing on his mind as you thought. You placed the tart on the table and took your leave.

On your way out you accidentally bumped into the edge of a tiny table(?) and knocked down a book. It landed on the floor opening to one of its pages by itself. You bent down to pick it up and you noticed the opened page. It had a lot of notes and annotations but what baffled you was what was written on the page.

''ouchie, ouchie you've always looked strong.....' The book was snatched out of your hand before you had a chance to finish reading it. You looked up to see a flustered Ranamun holding the book away from you.

'oh wow?!?!?! He's flustered?!?!?! This impossible guy is flustered?!?!! But considering what I just read it does make sense. Also what did I just read?!?!?'

Ranamun had leaned down to your height as he put a hand on your shoulder. "It would do you well to not tell anyone the contents of that book." He whispered into your ear. Was it a threat? Or what?

"Al-alright." You squeaked out as he let you go and you just ran outside. There are some things that you wished you didn't know.

Next you headed to Carlein's chambers and it was pretty uneventful as he seemed uninterested really. But he was quite a beauty considering this is your first time seeing him up close. He was deathly pale and skinny but well built. I guess that's the mercenary king for you. You weren't sure if he would like the sweets but you left it for him anyway.
