When we're back in my room all together I ask, "Where would you want to relocate to next?"
Bridger is playing with my hair, "Hmm, not sure yet. Is there anywhere you would like to go?"
"Italy," I grin, "I've taken two years of it in high school, I'd like to become fluent. Plus plenty of vineyards there."
"I'll look into that, though I think we have at least another decade that we can stay here." Vlad says.
"Italy will still be there." I smirk. I turn on I Dream of Jeannie, I hear several groans but no big complaints.
As I'm falling asleep that morning, late since I was reading a book, I hear children giggling nearby. Who let them into the main house this early? I let myself drift off happy that I won't ever be having my own.
When I wake to my alarm at four, I can hear the quests quietly murmuring in the hallway. I hurry to get dressed in a peach colored outfit, just simple slacks and a matching blazer. It still feels weird to be dressed up all the time, the guys tell me that I can wear my yoga clothes after our guests leave. I've already put my maid dresses back into the staff clothing bins.
There are kids waiting outside my bedroom door, I quickly close the door behind me so they don't see eight men in my bed. "Good afternoon, I'm heading to the kitchen, want to join me?"
A young girl around the age of ten nods, towing two younger boys behind her. "Where are the other three?"
She flushes red, "Lila, Darwin and Darcy are in the library doing their studying. Aunt Claudia woke up in a bad mood." She says quietly.
"And you three are? I'm Wrenly by the way."
We reach the kitchen and Miss Gomez hands me a full breakfast plate, and the kids carrot sticks and hummus.
"I'm Freeda, this is Arthur and John, my brothers."
"It's nice to meet you," I smile over at them, "why were you outside my door?"
"One of the staff said you'd be waking up soon, our parent are in the pool house with grandpop and grampop."
I giggle at the nicknames. "Ah, well I'm not too much fun since I'm an adult. What have you already done today?"
"Homework, video games, hide and seek, and coloring." John the youngest answers.
"Do you want to swim or watch a movie?"
"A movie." Arthur votes.
"No let's play a board game." Freeda says.
I laugh, "How about we do both at the same time?"
"Yes!" They all agree.
We decide on Candyland and Coco, the guys find us a few hours later surrounding the coffee table in our tenth game of Candyland. Who knew this game could keep their attention for so long?
"Hey," Henry says with a quick kiss, "We're were wondering where you have been hiding."
I check my watch, they literally woke up maybe twenty minutes ago. They haven't been wondering for long.
"The kids needed some entertainment." I wink at Freeda.
"You're mother says to go wash up before dinner." Koen tells the kids. They scurry off, I start cleaning up our game.
"They leave in the morning right?" I ask.
Dominick nods, "Yep, then we can go back to normal for a few days. Want to tell us about your sister's wedding?"
"Ah, yeah I forgot. She's having the wedding in a hotel in San Diego May 6th, at two p.m. Can I go?"
Jack clenches his jaw, Bridger answers, "Yes since you aren't a vampire. The jet will fly you then we'll hire a driver and body guard."
My eyes widen, "You don't have to do all of that. The jet is plenty. I'd like to fly out the day before and leave the day after."
Bridger nods, "I'm sure the body guard won't inconvenience you."
"I've lived down there my entire life, I don't need a body guard."
"We'll discuss this later." Jeremy says nodding to the doorway.
Claudia glides into the room wearing a floor length gown, "Wrenly do you have anything formal to change into? The press will be here soon."
