I give Jack a half smile when he comes in, the rest saunter into the room with the group from South Korea. Jeremy leads both groups to a corner where they all speak in hushed voices. Except when asking for a certain vintage, my tasks were easy this evening, they just kept me constantly busy. I much prefer the quiet business meetings to the crazy parties.

At six a.m they are finally finished, I head to my room to shower and change. The night was so long I couldn't even remember my questions.

Seeing a washer and dryer in my bathroom I give a squeal of delight! How did I miss this earlier today? I hurry though my second shower, then put all but the nice dresses into the wash. I have one plain black tank and bottoms that will work for tonight. After brushing and braiding my hair I skim through my phone. My mom texted a few times, so I text her back, telling her to have a wonderful day and I love her. I turn on the t.v. to the Vampire Academy movie.

It's not long before all eight men file into the room and sit down. I pull Jeremy to my side, "I haven't seen nearly enough of you." I purr. He smirks, kissing me gently.

Once they are all settle around the room, Dominick who sits in a chair at the desk asks, "What's your first question?" There's an accent to his voice that I haven't heard before, I wonder if its natural or just something they can adopt quickly.

I grin, "Easy, how old are you?"

"150 years old, from South America." Dominick says.

"512, from Greece." Vlad says.

"804, from Norway." Jack says.

"200, from the Oregon territories." Forest says.

"38, from here." Henry says.

"750, from Germany." Bridger says.

"61, from South Korea." Jeremy concludes.

I take a moment to process, some of them are really freaking ancient. "Jack who did you turn?" I have a suspicion, that he's turned quite a few people.

He smiles fangs extended, "Out of the people here Bridger and Koen."

"We all found each other throughout our travels. Henry's family owned this vineyard." Forest says. "We introduced ourselves as clients, eventually explained the whole vampire thing and decided to sell wine mixed with blood."

I nod, "That's kind of what I figured." I take a deep breath, not sure if I want to know the answer to the next question. "Did you kill all of those companions?"

"After a time we will, unless you're a vampire you don't need to know the process." Henry says smirking. I want to punch his stupidly handsome face.

Instead I roll my eyes, "Like I'd want to be one of you. Were any of you born a vamp or were you turned and like died?"

Jeremy laughs, "No one is born a vampire, the knowledge of how we became separate from humans is lost to us. We were each turned, not everyone survives the process. Some bodies just can't handle the switch."

I blink a few times, "Then all of you are lucky to be alive."

"That we are." Forest agrees. "What other questions do you have?"

I bite my lip thinking, "Crosses and holy water?"

"A myth, I was a priest for a while." Jack answers.

"Sunlight?"

"Burns us." Vlad hisses.

"Garlic, food in general? I've noticed you never eat."

"We don't eat anything, you are correct there, it makes us violently ill. Garlic's scent is so strong, it's not favorable." Dominick answers.

"The whole sleeping like the dead?"

"We don't know, just during daylight hours there's nothing we can do." Jeremy answers.

"How often do you need to feed...like drink blood? Who is it usually from?"

Koen smiles easily at me showing fangs, "Every day at least half a gallon. It's the same as you needing water."

"We drink the wine, it's a third wine the rest is from companions or fired staff." Bridger answers with a clear threat.

My eyes widen, "No one actually leaves here?" I choke out.

"No they don't." Bridger growls.
