Peace and quiet.

That was all Pat and Pran wanted.

Just some peace and quiet.

Was that too much to ask?

Well, their new neighbours seemed to think so as it had barely been over a month since the couple had moved into the apartment right above Pat and Pran's apartment and the two of them have been nothing but loud and annoying.

Many times Pat needed to physically hold his boyfriend back from walking to their neighbours' apartment and beat them into silence. And Pran was perhaps the most calm person in Pat's life. It was extremely difficult to get on his bad side and the new couple had done so in only a few days.

Pran was losing his mind over this since the first week.

Unlike Pran, Pat was a heavy sleeper. Nothing could wake him up once he was out. Pran was actually extremely jealous of him for that, meanwhile Pat had never been more thankful for it as he was not as bothered by the noise the couple above was making every night as his boyfriend was.

And of course it was only when night fell that the couple seemed to rebuild the entire apartment complex. Pran couldn't even understand how they were able to make so much noise at once.

It was as if they were moving the furniture around the apartment, dragging chairs on the ground and slamming doors after doors, banging on the walls for whatever reason and stomping their feet carelessly. Pran was even sure he had heard glass breaking at one point.

But whenever the sun was up, it was as if nobody lived there at all. Nothing was heard, nothing was moved or slammed or broken and it was actually what Pat and Pran wanted.

Unfortunately they had work during the day and weren't home long enough to actually enjoy the bit of peace they were granted.

Pran was getting more tired each day spent in chaos as he couldn't sleep at night because of the noise and he couldn't catch up on some sleep during the day because of work. It was a never ending circle that both of them desperately wanted to end.

The two boys didn't know what to do anymore. Nothing they did in the past was successful and they were starting to come up dry of any solutions. They had tried multiple times to knock on their door to talk it out but nobody ever answered.

They were ignored every single time, no matter the hour of day. They had even gone during the middle of the night once, knowing and hearing them in the apartment, meaning they were there and they couldn't ignore Pat and Pran any longer.

They were ignored.

Pran had been so furious that night. They were at their doorstep and they still had the audacity to feign ignorance of their presence? What kind of people would act this way at this age? Pran was certain now that these people were nothing but rude and inconsiderate brats who had no respect for anybody but themselves.

That night, Pran had taken his phone out and in a fit of rage, he had demanded that the police come and do something about it. Anything for this to just stop already.

However, after the police told them that the neighbours had insisted Pat and Pran were the ones making an awful lot of noise, the issue was ignored by the police who didn't want to be bothered by any of this.

And that left Pran and Pat to lose their minds over this. They were baffled by the attitude of the policemen when they were the ones who were losing countless nights of sleep here. Why weren't they doing anything to help? Wasn't it their job? Pran had never seen something as outrageous. But no matter how angry he was, the end result remained the same...nothing was going to change anytime soon.

Tonight was different however.

No noise.

Absolutely nothing aside from pure silence.

Pran was delighted when he realised that he might be able to catch some sleep for the first time in a month. Pat was still awake when he noticed that Pran had fallen asleep that night.

Smiling brightly to himself, Pat had readjusted the bedsheets over Pran's sleeping figure and had kissed his forehead gently before watching over him for a while.

It had been so long since Pat had seen his boyfriend at peace like this. He was glad that even for one night, the awful neighbours had decided to stop. And so, just like that, Pat fell asleep while watching his boyfriend.

The next day seemed to be the best day ever for Pran. Everything he saw looked incredible and he seemed to enjoy even the tiniest of things. Life felt good for once. People were nice and everything was going Pran's way.

But that didn't last long, obviously.

At the end of the day, as Pran and Pat were trying to fall asleep, the noise started again.

Different noises.

"You have got to be kidding me.." Pran muttered, letting go of a heavy sigh as he rubbed his hands over his face, closing his eyes for a brief moment before looking to the side.

Pat was already eyeing him and he seemed unfazed by it but Pran knew better. He knew his lover well enough to see the boiling anger inside him waiting to be set free. It was a nice change for once. It wasn't Pran who was angry. No, this time he was just astonished to the point of being unable to feel anything much aside from exhaustion.

"Remind me to buy earplugs tomorrow morning." Pran said in defeat as he closed his eyes again and tried his very best to try and ignore whatever was going on above their heads.

But as if mocking them, it dragged on and on and on, all night long.

The next day, when night came, Pat and Pran were unfortunately reminded that they had forgotten to buy the earplugs and so, they were forced to listen to the neighbours having fun once again all night.

At this point, both of them knew the neighbours were doing this on purpose. They had to be. Who could be so awfully loud without doing it on purpose? Pran and Pat didn't know what they had done wrong for those people to be taking revenge on them like this, making their lives a living hell, but they were even willing to beg for forgiveness at this point.

All they wanted was sleep.

It was well past two in the morning when Pat had enough, not able to find sleep with how loud he could hear them. He wasn't very keen on such noises when it didn't come from his boyfriend's mouth and it was making him insane.

"You wanna fuck louder than them?" Pat asked his lover who snapped his head in his direction with wide eyes.

"Are you crazy, Pat?" Pran scolded instantly but Pat had never been so serious in his entire life.

"C'mon," Pat insisted as he straightened up by putting his weight on his elbow. "We usually can't be too loud. Now's the time to let go." he said as he leaned down and hovered his lips over Pran's.

Pat could already tell he was convincing Pran more and more and he smiled, placing his hand on Pran's cheek as he watched his boyfriend's eyes staring down at his lips expectantly. Pat knew Pran was waiting for the moment their lips would connect patiently.

"C'mon, baby," Pat whispered as he granted Pran only a feather's touch and nothing more, trying to get him more into it. Thankfully for Pat, Pran was easily riled up and it usually didn't take much for him to be excited. "don't you think we should show them who really has the upper hand here? Hm? Let's show them who's the boss." Pat said with a grin and Pran sighed, letting Pat know that he had won.

"Fine." Pran caved in and as soon as he had said that, Pat was devouring him like never before and in the end, Pran felt like he should thank his neighbours for making Pat want revenge.

Because it led to one of the best nights Pran's ever had and he kind of wished the neighbours hadn't stopped making noise after that because now he couldn't stop thinking about how good Pat had made him feel, completely driven by anger, annoyance and satisfaction of hearing Pran's voice so loud.

And he wanted some more.
