"C'mon everyone!" a seller exclaimed at the moving crowd in front of him. "Gentlemen! One star to show your ladies how much you love them!" he said as he looked around for someone to take the bait.
And of course there was.
Pat watched silently as couple after couple crowded the seller to know what he was selling.
The man was sitting on a chair with a wide grin as he explained multiple times how buying one star and giving it the name of their girlfriends would show those girls just how much love they held for them.
Pat knew it was bullshit.
The man clearly wanted to rob those people and make them believe that this would save their relationship from an inevitable doom.
And yet, Pat found the idea extremely romantic.
There was something about it, about having a star sporting his name that was appealing and very romantic to Pat.
But, as he walked by the seller's stand in the street, Pran turned to look at the man and his face scrunched up in distaste.
"Those people are so stupid." he grumbled under his breath, rolling his eyes as he watched man after man buy and name a star.
Hearing this, Pat looked down at his feet.
Now he knew that he could never buy a star for his boyfriend and his boyfriend would never name a star after Pat.
Pran had been very moody for a few weeks now because of how much workload he had since he started working as an architect. Pat understood that his boyfriend was tired and didn't want to go out as often as they used to but...Pat couldn't help the feeling in his heart that was telling him they were growing more distant every single day.
Pat made sure to not say anything to Pran. He didn't want to drop his worries on top of everything Pran was already dealing with. Moreover, Pat was busy himself as he worked for his father's company.
Their parents had known about their relationship for a while now and Pat had the feeling that his father was giving him a lot of work on purpose so that it gave him less time to spend with his boyfriend.
But his father didn't really need to do any of that since either way Pran was never there.
Pat was starting to feel lonely. He hated that feeling. Being alone with his loud thoughts of anxiety could be more tiring than working for his father sometimes.
Thankfully for him, Pa and his mother were both on his side and helped a lot to convince his father to stop giving him too much work.
Pat was glad and very lucky to have them both in his life.
The entire week Pat couldn't stop thinking about those damn stars.
He didn't understand why he was obsessing over this so much but he couldn't do anything.
He was getting more and more gloomy as days passed by and Pran noticed it.
Pat knew he was worrying Pran which was the reason why he refused to say anything to him. He knew his boyfriend well enough to know that Pran would force himself to go on dates with Pat even if he was close to fainting from exhaustion.
Pat knew Pran loved him a lot and he didn't know why he still felt worried.
This really wasn't like him but he could help it. And much to his dismay, Korn had gotten himself a girlfriend who he was showering with love and gifts all the time for everyone to see and Pat watched that with a heavy heart.
