Neon P.O.V
I message her and it takes a minute before I get a reply.
Hazel: What's up you seem off?
Tala: I, I don't know. I know you just dropped me off but would it be to much asking if you could come by?
Typing...
I fidget on my bed looking at everything Ling brought and I don't know one thing from the next. Not to mention I'm nervous on what Hazel is going to say, she did just drop me off it's not like she'd want to drive back here.
Hazel: Damn missing me that much? I don't mind, I'm just around the corner since I stopped for a minute.
Tala: Okay, just knock when you get here and tell Sunwoo your here for me. I'll see you in a few.
It doesn't take long for a knock on the front door, Sunwoo talking with someone and finally a knock on my door. "Tala, you in there?" I feel my heart rate pick up and I take a breath before I respond "yeah, you can come in."
The door handle turns and soon I'm met with Hazel again and she has a slight look of concern "you seemed vague in your messages" she shuts my door and walks over sitting with me. "What's wrong? Did I do something wrong?"
I immediately shake my head "no you've done nothing wrong I just needed someone to talk to and even though I've known Sunwoo for years it feels off talking with her about it." She nods and looks around my room and spots the plush we bought earlier.
"Looks like you're cat has an octopus friend" she awkwardly laughs trying to lighten the mood. I look over and slightly laugh before turning and looking at her "Hazel, I-, I really need your help. How much power will these stand up to? Like for overwhelming emotions?"
Hazel looks at me, curiosity written on her face "overwhelming emotions, how?" I groan and just grab the bag Ling gave me and hand it to her hiding my face in my arms. I hear a quiet 'oh' before she clears her throat.
I look up at her and her face has a pinkish tint to it "I have no clue what things do. I don't even know how to do any of that and I've just-" she places her finger to my lips and nods. "First thing, calm down. There's no need to be scared of it."
I nod and she gestors to the metal on my arms "and that, it depends on how intense your radiance gets. It won't hold back everything but if it involves any of these things and you can't control yourself then it can get out of hand."
I nod and grab the bag pulling something out, "could you help me with this at least?" She is sent into a coughing fit and I jump up worried for her "Hazel? What's wrong??" I hand her a water bottle and takes large sips from it slowly coming back.
She takes deep breaths before responding "I'll explain each of these things and teach you how to use them but that's it." I nod confused at her nervous tone and I sit myself up and focus on her and everything she has to say.
~~An hour later~~
After an hour my face is red and yet again my lower abdomen is heating up, Hazel is finishing up her explanation on something and my mind starts blanking on what she's saying and is focusing on her. Not just her but her hands in particular.
Her long slim fingers are wrapped around one of the items and I think she said the name of it but all I can focus on is her hands. After a few minutes she snaps me out of whatever trance I was in and is looking at me "did you hear any of that?"
I sheepishly look away and mumble out "no.." I hear her laugh a little and has me look back up at her "you seemed very distracted by something while I was explaining this. What were you so focused on?"
She quirks a brow at me and I hide my face in my hands and groan "don't worry there's no need to tell me if you don't want to. But I guess I should leave you to it huh?" She stands and starts walking to the door. "Wait."
She stops and looks back at me and I stand up and walk to her "Hazel, I." I freeze up forgetting and stumbling over my words before I give up with a sigh. I grab the collar of her shirt pulling her to me before I rest my lips on hers.
I hear a surprised noise leave her throat before I feel her kiss back. We stand there for a minute before she pulls back and we stare at each other. "Hazel, I. I've had feelings for you since we've met-" "I could tell" we stay silent for a minute longer before Hazel speaks.
"Tala, the whole reason I sat next to you at the bar that night was because I thought you were attractive. I could feel your radiance to but, you seemed, nice." I give her a slow nod before I speak again "can I, can I kiss you again?"
She nods and she pulls me into a soft kiss and we stand there together for a minute before we pull back again. I go and sit back down on my bed and Hazel follows sitting next to me and we sit in comfortable silence for a few minutes before Hazel speaks.
"You taste nice" I look at her and she's looking off at something else "thank you?" She nods and looks down at her lap. "Tala, can we, try this?" I look at her confused and she looks at me "as a couple, me and you. Can we try it?"
I can feel my heart pounding in my chest and I feel her watching me waiting for an answer "I, I have no clue what I'm doing. I never even had the thought of being with someone." She hums "I haven't had much experience either, besides a fling or two."
I nod and I think over it, I have no clue what I'm doing but Hazel would help me through it. She's nice and very attractive so it wouldn't hurt trying it right? "I think we could try it. You'll have to help me every step though since I have no clue what I'm doing."
She laughs and nods "I don't mind helping you. And maybe we'll find some things you enjoy in other terms. But first, I'm interested in why you asked me to explain this stuff to you. And not what you told me before, the real reason because I know what you told me wasn't the truth or at least the full truth."
My face flushes red and she gives me an intense look like she's reading my mind just by looking at me. "It's, uh it's embarrassing" clearly this was the wrong thing to say because she looks even more interested in it, "now you've gotta tell me, can't just tease me with that."
