Blood Riddled Hearts

Neon P.O.V

My eyes flutter open and I'm locked in a cell and I hear heavy footsteps coming near. I look up and see a man in full gear, he unlocks the door and I go to dash out only to be yanked back by chains holding me to the ground. I grunt and I hear a chuckle out of him as he unlocks my chains and drags me along and I spot Hazal in a cell as we pass.

I pull to her and he just roughly yanks me back "get a move on 965" I huff in defeat following him as Hazal watches me be taken. We head down some stairs and the guy stops and another guard comes over blindfolding me. The man holding my chains continues to walk us down multiple twists and turns before I feel a breeze hit me.

I'm soon yanked roughly and tossed to the ground and my blindfold is removed, I'm in a caged in area with barbed wire strung along the whole fencing and at the top closing in with a slight opening, not like anyone is dumb enough to climb that or try escaping with the armed guards surrounding the area.

I look in front of me and they throw another girl in with me. I look at her closely and it's Kirra, two heavily armed and protected guards walk in and take off the metal casing from out hands and they rush out locking everything up tightly. "Welcome to the area 965 and 958. Today we shall be testing your radiance against each other."

And alarm sounds and Kirra stands and sends out a bird and it explodes blinding me. I look around rubbing my eyes when a dog like creature runs at me and biting down then disappearing leaving a bloody bite after words. She looks torn and readying to send another attack when I sprint and slide ending up behind her tackling her to the ground.

"Kirra, you don't have to do this" her eyes are full of pain as she knocks me back and sends out another dog. I move before it attacks and I fire back hitting her with electricity and she falls to the floor twitching. The guards come in aiming rifles and me and I put my hands up as the kick Kirra forcing her up and locking her up again and dragging her out.

I look behind me hearing the gate open and they throw in another girl "965 welcome your new opponent 720" she looks anxious, she has animal like ears on her head with a tail tucked between her legs, she tucks away into a corner with her tail covering her, she looks like a terrified puppy.

A voice soon comes over the coms and isn't to happy "720. Either do as instructed or you won't be eating tonight." She stands and I spot scars along her arms and legs, she looks exhausted as she sends out a small wolf and it charges at me full speed. This one is different then Kirra's it's more real and as I go to aim I miss and shoot the wall next to her.

Doing so causes the small animal to lunge forward and bites me hard. I instinctively reach at it and throw it and I hear a crack as it hits the ground. My heart sinks as I see blood pool around the small animal, it's small body stops moving and it disappears and the girl just looks at me. Her face has so much in it, as guards walk in grabbing her and using the same force on her as they did Kirra.

She works with them better but is still forced out "one more 965, please welcome 964" I look to the gate opening and they throw in Hazal. My heart shatters in my chest as our eyes meet, Hazal looks torn as she comes closer as she pulls her radiance out and I back up slowly after seeing first hand what that dose to people.

She locks her eyes on mine again as she sends out some of it as it flies at me, just as I think it's going to hit me it flies at the gate to a guard but before it can it hits a familiar wall. I look next to it seeing Ling chained and a glow dimming on her hands. She's slouching and her arms and legs are chained and there are two guards on her either side standing with wolfish smirks.

"964. Try another stunt like that and you will be put solitary confinement" I watch her fists clench and I look sadly at Ling and they pull a chain on her pulling her head away and dragging her off to the side. I look at Hazal and I sprint to her and go to pull her into an embrace when I get yanked back and pulled away, another man grabs her and locks her up before blindfolding her and taking her away and the man holding me copies and drags me through the halls again.

I'm stopped and I hear whispering before I start moving again and I hear a door and I'm forced down in a chair and my blindfold is taken off and a watch a man leaving the room and closing the door before a woman walks in. She's in a white jacket and black pants, she has sandy blonde bob like cut hair, four dots under her grey icy eyes and a robotic arm.

She sits down in front of me and has a hard stare on me, I look down to her chest at her name tag saying 'Iselin' "Hello 965 we saw how you preformed today in the arena. We will run some tests tomorrow before bringing you back out into the ring." She goes to stand and I say something "wait, Iselin right?" She stops and looks at me with a blank look, "what is it 965."

I huff "first it's Tala. Second." I say adjusting in my chains "you are the only person here that I've been able to talk to, what do you mean tests." A look flashes behind her eyes before she speaks "I cannot disclose that information for it is private. We are not allow to talk with our test subjects, 965." She leaves the room and a man enters again grabbing my chains and dragging me back to the cells.

He walks me up the stairs before locking me down and drops a bowl of something before locking the cell. "Eat, that is all you are getting 965." I look at it and feel sick looking at it "don't eat it, probably drugged and I think rotting ground up fish." I look up hearing a a mans voice but no one is in front of me, "cell next to you, I'm Mateo."

I sigh "Tala" I hear a sound "want some real food? I know it's not the best but it's the best I can offer." I hear my stomach growl and I chuckle "what do you have?" I hear a little sound before he speaks "just crackers but it might be the best thing you can get here" "I'll take anything if you don't mind sparing one or two."

"I'll give you like half the sleeve, don't mind the little guy coming over, he's friendly" I hum and see a little yellow, brown and purple creature squeeze through the bars holding the sleeve and it hands it to me. "That's Wingman, he wants to sit over there with you for a bit if your okay with it." I slowly reach and grab it from Wingman and slowly eat one at a time as he sits next to me "just finish them up before the guards get back, they won't be to happy." 

I chuckle and sit with Wingman, the crackers might be bland and nothing on them not even salt but anything is good at this point and the company is even better after everything I've just gone through and had to see. Wingman gives me a pat on the arm and grabs a cracker and handing it up to me causing a slight chuckle.
