Magical Night

My eyes flutter open the next morning and I feel a weight wrapped around me, I turn my head and I'm instantly met with Hazel's face near mine. I lay my head back down and just relax in her embrace.

I feel movement behind me and soft movement up and down my arm. I glance over and see her walking her hand up and down my arm. Her weight shifts and soon her arm in over my body but not quite touching me, I feel the mattress move underneath me and and Hazel is above me.

I feel her lips on my lower jaw as she leaves kisses along it before moving away and getting up. I push myself up as my bathroom door is shutting quietly, I feel along my lower jaw, my fingers brushing along gently, feeling where she kissed.

If this is how Hazel wakes up then I wouldn't mind her spending the night more. I sit there for a while when I hear the shower turn off and the bathroom door opens and now I'm met with Hazel standing in the door way holding my towel around herself.

"Oh, I'm sorry Tala, did I wake you?" I just shake my head and she nods, she walks over and sits down on the edge of my bed and I look her up and down. "I'll grab my clothes and get dressed in the bathroom."

She heads to the bathroom door and once her hand touches the knob, I speak up "wait" she looks at me and quirks a brow, "you can get dressed in here." I look to my lap as I say this and I feel her eyes burning into my skull.

"You can just ask if you want to see me naked" I hear her chuckle before I cover my eyes at the sound of fabric rustling. I keep them covered until I get overly curious and take a quick peak at her and my heart skips a beat.

My eyes scan her back seeing the worn out henna on it, I look at all the patters and catch what looked like it was a cat when Hazel speaks. "You seriously can just ask for a look, I'm not shy" I steal another look at her and now she's facing me, covering her chest with her arms.

I look her up and down and I stand up walking near her and rest my hands on her arms. My heart pounds in my chest being this close to her, I pull her into a quick kiss but it quickly turns long when I feel her arms around my waist.

We pull back and I keep my eyes locked on hers "so, how do we get out of this" I make a gesture towards her chest pressed up against me. She thinks for a second before moving her hand and suddenly it's dark.

Just as quickly as it went dark I could see again and now she's wearing a tank top, unfortunately I don't think she put on a bra since it leaves a lot for the imagination. "Tala, I want to do something important with you."

Hazel's face is serious as she's looking at me and I just nod she sighs and grabs her bag eventually pulling out a folder. "All I want you to do is check off either 'yes', 'no' or 'interested' for everything in here. Can you do that?" "Yeah sounds easy enough"

~~Hours Later~~

We went over the folder for a while and I asked probably a million questions but Hazel happily answered them all. Even after hours, and Hazel hanging up on her job multiple times, we stayed with each other all day.

I'm finishing up dinner for us, Ling and Sunwoo when Hazel comes running into the kitchen "You have to come and see this" she grabs me wrist and before I can protest she drags me out the back door.

She points up to the night sky and instead of being dark with a few stars speckled around it magenta purple like color and thousands of stars across the sky. When we look carefully enough we spot a golden like orb in the center of the sky.

"Is that-" "A radiant? Yep" I look in amazement as purple and magenta swirl together gold shooting out in random directions occasionally. Ling and Sunwoo soon come out and stop seeing it "that, that is something else."

I look at Sunwoo and she's looking at everything we're seeing and Ling is standing in what seems to be wonder. "Whoever this radiant is incredibly powerful" Hazel gestors for us to follow her and we head into the thick forest behind our house.

We make it to an opening in the trees and finally stop being able to see the sky without anything in the way but some trees. Sunwoo forms up a cloud and sends it up, Hazel looks at me and motions to the sky.

"Give a little lightning" I nod pointing my hand up letting out a small bit of electricity. We watch the golden orb turn giving unique and interesting patters, first shown is a shape that looks like a cloud and we turn to Sunwoo and her eyes are full.

Next we spot it turn to a lightning bolt and finally going back to it's original shape. I turn to Hazel and she's looking at me giving me a smile, "So, this Radiant lives in the sky?" Hazel tilts her hand "not quite but they do this every so often and seeing is a honor and a half."

I give a slow nod and we start head back to the house watching the sky as we walk, still in awe over this. "You know, this is such an amazing sight. It hurts knowing people want to remove it from this world."

We look at Ling and she has a shine yet dull look in her eyes Sunwoo rushes over to her and holds her close walking ahead of me and Hazel. I reach my hand out to her and she tangles her fingers into mine and we walk home silently leaning on each other.
