Fearful Outbreak

After Iselin was caught with me and Hazal in the same room she had gotten a huge earful of a lecture. I couldn't help but feel bad when I heard it being said that it was her first and only warning about this and they didn't want to have to take, special, measures.

I'm back in the cell listening to Mateo, chat about all different things when a little critter of his makes her way over. She's all blue with a little shell and an adorable little face that reminds me of an axolotl, "who's this little one?" I hear a chuckle "Dizzy, she's harmless but carful if you're on the wrong side of her."

It's not that I don't like chatting with Mateo, he's been amazing but my mind is just racing with so many things, where's Hazal and is she okay, is Iselin really starting to warm up to us and, of course, that young Filipino girl I had seen. She seemed far to young to be here and on her own for that matter.

"Right Tala?" I whip my head up at his voice "I'm, I'm sorry?" There's a second of silence before I hear him talk again "alright chica, what's up with you, since you were brought back you've been acting off." I go to answer when a large screen is lowered in the middle of the entire room.

"Today we are going to show you what true power is. And what we do with failures." An almost villainous cackle rings through the speakers as a picture of the battle arena is shown on screen. And two people are brought into frame. One being someone we haven't seen before but covered in scars and the other.

My heart sinks seeing her. Hazal. I feel so many things rushing up into my mind. Almost like every emotion at once is fighting for top, I stand quickly and try and run to the door but I'm quickly yanked by the chains. I pull and tug scarring off Dizzy in the process as I grow weaker and weaker realizing that this is hopeless.

I fall back to the ground and just watch the screen, Hazal doesn't look right, she looks angry and ready to kill. My heart hurts at the sight, Hazal isn't violent, she'd never do this to someone. My mind makes up hundreds of things that it could be but it keeps going back to one certain thing, drugged.

"Mateo, what do they do to the radiants that fight in these...?" He is silent before he says something, "depending on who's running it, it can be drugging to mental torture to make them fight." The ache in my chest makes itself much more known when I watch Hazal get hit, and blood starts shimmering in the light at it starts to show.

I get as close as I can to the bars as she is thrown on the ground again resulting in her hitting her head hard on the floor. Panic rises more as it becomes more intense, the longer it goes on the more and more Hazal slows down. Her attacks are slower along with her dodging, she is getting betten to a pulp and it's hard to watch.

I want to look away but I can't. And finally. One final hit and she is down. Unmoving. My heart feels like it stops, my head has so many things going through it, one side saying this is a horrible nightmare the other knowing it's real. I fall to my knees and my eyes sting, tears burning at the sight in front of me.

I feel weak. Like the whole world just placed a million pound weight on my entire body. The whole world stops, my heart stops my lungs stop as I sit there with tears streaming down my face. It take a minute for my body to remember how to work as I see someone in the corner of my eye.

I ignore them and just stare at the floor until I hear the rattle of the lock, I slightly look up with tears burning down my face only to be met with that last people I'd think I'd see. Before me stand Iselin, Kirra, Sunwoo, Mateo, Zyanya and Ling. Iselin is holding keys and I look over the others, looking betten up and bruised but Sunwoo is the first to speak.

"Common dork, let's go get your girlfriend" Iselin leans down unlocking my cuffs and I stand staring at her "aren't you going to lose your job for this?" She shrugs "yeah but, after what you showed me I did some thinking and had a chat with this one over here" she points to Sunwoo "and realized this isn't the path I want, harming radiants over something that happened in the past is, stupid."

Dizzy floats over to her landing on her shoulder and she tenses "this will take getting used to" I look to Ling and she rests a hand on my shoulder, "Hazal is going to okay, I promise." I nod and turn back to Iselin, "so, what's your idea here?" She rests her keys in my hand before she explains.

"These guys are to focused on the winner of that battle so that means no one to deal with the death or be around it. Meaning we get to her Ling does her thing and we bail after pressing the button to release all radiants." We agree and we start moving "do you know where the button is?"

Iselin nods "it's in my office so shouldn't be to hard to get to." I nod thinking, "how about I go press it to cause some havoc, open doors so everyone can escape while you guys to and get Hazal." I suggest looking at them and they seem to agree "I can look for anyone trying to cause us some, problems."

Zyanya says this with a smirk "I have been starving" she's saying this like it's nothing but it does concern me ever so slightly, "sure just be careful." We split up after I get the information I need on where Iselin's office and I quickly make my way in and dig through things soon finding the button.

I press it hearing metal clank loudly and soon alarms followed by footsteps I quickly lock up the office and dash away from it hiding as guards break down the door and storm it gums drawn. That doesn't last long as guards quickly rush to deal with the now free radiants.

Chaos ensues with so many things happening, fire is quickly started and a piller falls slamming into a cell door closing it. I go to make my escape when something catches my attention. I look into the now blocked cell spotting the Filipino girl still stuck halfway in her chains.

I back up and focus hard on the door before zapping it on it's hinges and they smoke creaking. "Can you back up for me?" She nods doing as said as I kick in the door. I watch it fall inwards just nearly missing her, I kneel down using Iselin's keys to unlock the chains and I quickly grab hold of her bringing her out safely.

The girl clings to me and I go to wrap her in a hug but she goes limp against me and I spot a dart sticking out of her back, I pull it out throwing it aside as I quickly pick her up and hold her bridal style and sprint out of the build's back where I watched the others go.
