Cheers.
Cheers was the first thing I heard as I stepped into the arena.
With my sword, I faced my opponent. A griffin 8 times the size of me, a 5’4 human. As I got on my horse, I charged. Wrong move, buddy! The griffith swiped at me angrily. The bystanders gasped. I refocused my vision, backed up, and analyzed my enemy. “Think of the money. You have to fight.” I murmur to myself. I grabbed a crossbow out of my backpack, and shot. The bow landed right in its eye. A few minutes later after a very gruesome fight, I was left severely wounded, my horse ran away, and the griffith was about to attack me again. It raised its claw, and I embraced death like a hug from an old friend. The griffith then swiped at me, and everything became dark. I felt… peaceful.
Cheers was the last thing I heard as I took my final breath.
Cheers.
