Chapter 17: Princess Ametrine

I opened my eyes and the first thing I saw was the telescope! It was huge! Then I took in all the books and star charts! It was amazing! Then I seen the table with candles and rose petals. With dinner and champagne sitting on top!

You did all of this for me? I asked.

Yes, little princess! You deserve the world! I pulled me gently towards the table and pulled out my chair for me! He lifted the lids off of our plates and I saw my favorite dinner in the entire world! Marinated chicken, buttered noodles, and fresh green beans! It was perfect and it smelled wonderful!

How did you know my favorite food? I asked.

I asked your parents. He admitted and I dug in savoring every bite! The chicken was nice and moist and you could taste the Italian dressing! The butter noodles were nice and thick, and the green beans you can tell were just picked from the garden. I ate every bite!

That was delicious! And Honestly the first quiet meal Ive ever had!

I agree but it wasnt a lonely quiet Im use to having. It was a comfortable quiet! Ready for dessert?

We are having dessert? He rolled over and cart and lifted the lid and inside was cherry cheesecake! My favorite!!!!!

You remembered!! I pilled high on my plate before I dig in. It was honestly the best cheesecake Ive ever had! Lucas was still eating his first plate when I went in for seconds! As I finish! I see him smiling at me.

What? Do I have something on my face?

No, little princess. Nothing like that at all! Just thinking how lucky I am to have found you is all. He lays his hand on mine and I smile back at him!

Shall we take a look at the stars though the telescope, little princess?

Do you even need to ask? I jump out of my seat and rush over to the telescope. When I look inside I see the stars more clear than I ever have before! I can see the constellations, planets, and even the moon much brighter and clearer than I ever could back home! I look up at Lucas and find him down on one knee with a ring in his hand. The ring was beautiful and it alone took my breath away!

Ametrine Starlight will you do me the honor and become my queen? I know we already agreed not to get married for another year and thats fine I just want this to make it official! I look into Lucas hopeful eyes shinning with happiness and I know Im completely and hopelessly in love with this man!

Yes! A thousand times yes! He places the ring on my finger and lifts me into a kiss!

We should go downstairs and show your family. I bet they are just bursting with curiosity! I start to laugh and nod in agreement! We walk downstair and into the dining room hand in hand.

There you are! What were you two doing? Rosella asked.

Yeah, we just finished dessert! You missed dinner completely! Roseanne commented.

I smiled from ear to ear and lifted my hand to show off the ring. Everyone started to cheer and got up to congratulate us. Peter pulled Lucas to the side and whispered something to him. He nodded and then came back to me.

Peter needs your help in the Royal treasury tomorrow before the ball. Lucas whispered in my ear and I just nodded my head and sent a thumbs up to Peter. He smiled my way and I seen a weight lift off of his shoulders. I wonder what he needs my help with.

Oh my God! Your ring is gorgeous! Rosella and Roseanne gushed, then it hit me Rosella doesnt have a ring!
