Chapter 16: King Lucas

The next morning I woke up to an empty bed my little princess must have gotten up early and went to check on Shimmer. I get up and get dressed to go check on how Peter and Hazel slept. I had them stay the night in the castle since they will be royal here in a few weeks. I walk down the hall and knock on Hazels door before opening it.

Good morning, Hazel how did you sleep? I peak in and see that she is still sleeping so I quietly close the door and move on to Peters room. Again, I knock before I enter.

Come in. Peter says from the other side of the door.

Good morning, Peter. How did you sleep?

Like a baby! Thank you, again for letting us stay the night in the castle!

It was no problem! You are going to be family soon anyways! I already checked on Hazel and she is still sleeping, but you can come down for breakfast if you would like.

Thank you. I think I will take you up on that offer. We head out the door and down the stairs for breakfast. Going down the stairs we run into Rosella and Roseanne. Peter kisses Rosellas hand.

Good morning, my princess! Good morning, Roseanne. How did you ladies sleep last night?

We slept well thank you! Roseanne answered while Rosella blushed. We continued walking into the dinning room and sat at our respected seats.

Good morning, everyone! Ametrine yelled as she came into the room and sat down next to me.

Good morning, little princess! How is Shimmer this morning? I ask as I kiss her hand.

Much better thankfully! As the staff was bringing out breakfast Hazel walks into the room rubbing her eyes.

Peter their beds are so comfortable!!! Everyone started laughing as Peter walked over to her and guided her to her seat.

Eat your breakfast, Hazel. Then we can go see if your dress is done. Hazels eyes lit up and she dug into her food. More laughter and I could see why everyone loves these two!

Peter when you two are done checking on your outfits can you and Hazel come find me, Id like to give you something for the ball tomorrow!

Please, just Lucas! Your family now! Peter just smiled and nodded his head and continued eating! As we continued eating Carl came into the room and walked up to me.

Sire, the telescope is fixed. He whispered in my ear.

Thank you can you set up a private dinner date for tonight there for me and Princess Ametrine?

Of course, your majesty. Consider it already done!

Oh, and Carl! Make sure there is cheesecake for dessert! Carl smiled and nodded his head and left with a bow.

What was that about? Ametrine asked.

Nothing you need to worry about, little princess! I said kissing her hand softly. After we finished eating I walked into the kitchen to pick out dinner for Ametrine and I tonight. I wanted it to be special but I found Ametrine in there already. Shit!

Little princess what are you doing here?

Making sure the dishes for the ball are all set and accurate. Dont want anyone getting offended or an allergic reaction happening! I already talked with Carl and Peter about the citizens allergies! No nuts and we still need some lactose free desserts! I was thinking maybe some peanut butter cookies but that has nuts, so that got me thinking about a lactose free cake. Larry, do you think you could whip up something like that?
