Chapter 19: Princess Amethyst/ Leora

Watching Rosella get proposed to was beautiful! James Never left my side all night. After we found out someone tried to harm Ametrine he became a bit overprotective. Jasper too! He would check in on me constantly and if James had to do something Jasper was with me. I didnt mind I got to get to know my brother. Ametrine was attached to King Lucas hip when she wasnt planning the ball! Anna and Roseanne were almost inseparable and I was glad my best friend was fitting in so well. Playing with Hazel I realized how much I wanted a little sibling or even a child of my own!

Ready for our morning walk, amica mea? James asked me as he came out of his temporary closet.

Yes, I am. I looped my arm through his and we headed for the garden. Everyday since we got here we spend part of our mornings just walking through the gardens together. Sometimes we see my parents and sometimes we see both sets of them. It has just become a normal morning routine for us until we can go back home, but I want to continue it even when we go home.

Good morning, Amethyst! How are you this morning? My father greets me. Everyone has been calling me Amethyst here so to keep it more formal.

Im doing well! How are you and mom this morning?

We are doing splendid! Its a great morning to walk the gardens! My mother responds.

Every morning is a great morning to walk to gardens in your opinion, Queen Jade! James jokes.

Not when its raining! Mom retorts back. We continue on our walk stopping here and there to smell the flowers. Suddenly Hazel comes running around the corner laughing with Peter and Rosella hot on her heels. Peter catches her and picks her up tickling her. Rosella comes over to them and plants a kiss on both of their cheeks.

Good morning! How are you doing? I greeting them.

Princess Amethyst! Help me! They are being mean tickling me! Hazel giggles out.

Oh, really? Is that so? James walks over and starts tickling Hazels sides. She starts a whole new burst of laughter. I start giggling along with her.

She has had us chasing her all over the castle this morning! Rosella exclaims.

Well then, I guess she doesnt want a surprise. I say turning my head to the sky and crossing my arms.

A surprise? Yes please!! Hazel says jumping out of Peters arms and rushing to me.

I heard from a little birdie that today is your birthday. I say as I grab her hand and lead her inside the castle.

Yes, it is! Do you have a birthday present for me? Peter, James, and Rosella are following us as we walk up the stairs to my room.

Yes, I do! Come over to this little box! Everything in here is for you! I want you to have it. Hazel looks to Peter and Rosella and they both nod their heads yes. Hazel opens the box to find a baby blue princess dress with pink and purple swirls decorating the bottom and beads outlining the neckline, sky-blue shoes with a small heal, and a princess tiara with blue gems.

Someone might have leaked that your favorite color is blue. James said coming up and wrapping his arms around my waist.

Do you like it? I asked as she was still examining the dress and tiara.

Like it? I love it! Thank you, Princess Amethyst! Hazel came up and hugged me tightly.

Can I change into it now? She asked Rosella and Peter.

Of course, sweety! It is your birthday after all! Rosella said helping her carry the shoes and tiara into the bathroom.

Im really glad she liked it! I helped the seamstress make it and I hand picked the tiara and shoes myself! Rosella, can I talk to you for a moment? I pull Rosella, Peter, and James away from the bathroom and talk quietly.
