Jackson POV

I have never been so apart from my twin as I do right now, I'm not myself. I am no longer Jackson Wilson from District 4, I am now a survivor of the 66th Hunger Games. A puppet yet to be used by president Snow.

"Jack, you're back from your tour. How are you feeling?" Addy asks me as she pulls into a tight embrace.

"I just want to be with you today" I mumble into her neck.

"then let's go, head to our spot on the beach" she kisses the top of my head before dragging me toward the beach.

"you know, you're still the same to me Jack, you're my twin, my family, my rock, my happiness. I hate how the games changed you. I know they changed Finn but seeing you like this hurts" Addy looks up to me as we stand where the water meets the sand.

"Adds, it's hard to understand. I killed children to come home, I can't make sense of it all and the only people that understand are other victor but Finnick and I it's a bit different" I start before I bit my tongue.

Finnick told me the reasoning behind the death of his family and reason why Eric and Sofia were sparred. So snow could control him. Finnick turns 16 soon so he will be heading to the capitol to be snow puppet. I hate him, one day he will get what he deserves, I just have to wait for that day to come and protect Addy from Snow grasp.

"what do you mean? how is it different for you and Finn?"Addy ask, I should have known she was always paying attention to what I was saying. it's who she is. always listening and being in my corner.

"I can't tell you Adds, to protect you. now lets go for a swim little twin" I smirk as I run ahead into the crash waves surrounding our District.

"Again your not that much older then me Jack!" Addison whines chasing behind me.

Today I can escape my nightmare, today I can avoid the capitol, today is about me and my twin. my everything.

Racing toward the victor village I see Sofia, Finnick, Eric, JJ and Mags stand outside seem to be waiting on us.

"Jack" Sofia yells running into my open arms.

"Hey Fia, what's wrong" I hold her in my arms as she look back at our family before pointing to my house even though we all house hop.

"Buttercup no" I hear finicky yell as she heads into the house.

"Finnick what is wrong" I ask him as I hold Sofia in my arms as she shake visibly.

"P-president s-s Snow is here to see you Jack. he's inside waiting for you " Eric speaks up as I feel my heart drop.

"Addy, wait for me" I yell running behind her.

"Jack what is going on, everyone is acting really weird" she looks at me and the end of the hallway where peacekeepers stand watch.

"stay here, or go back out to the others. I'll be out in a minute" I kiss her forehead and walk into the office where Snow sits with a smirk.

"Jackson Wilson, please sit down. we have much to discuss" Snow gestures to the seat in front of me.

"Sir, how can I help you this fine evening" I manage to hold my anger out.

"well you see, I have come with a deal for you." Snow starts as I start tapping my foot aggressively. I knew this would happen

"What do you mean President Snow?" I ask making eye contact with Finnick outside the window.

"well, when a victor is deemed desirable, I give them the opportunity to bathe in riches of their choice if they cooperate with said deal" Snow smirks as I frown.
