Addison's POV

"we need to go now" I rush forward giving angel the knife I had sitting beside the tree. Charlie helped secure yet another belt of throwing knives around herself and Angel as we head towards the far mountain. no doubt the edge of the arena.

"why are we running?"Angel speaks up after we hiked through the forest. Charlie in front then Angel and I taking the rear.

"I was a bit loud earlier, would have lead the others to where we were. Addy was right we needed to get out of there and fast" Charlie responds as I check behind me afraid the Cole was to close for my liking but I hadn't got another note so I know he wasn't an issue of this moment.

"I'm hungry, can we hunt for a bit before we head up the mountain?"Angel asks as Charlie and I smile.

Angel is to young for this

"Sure sweetie you go with Charlie and look for berries or small animals. I will refill the water bottles by the waterfall we just passed."I smile at her as they pass me the bottles.

"Scream Gold, if you need help"Charlie pulls me into a hug as I respond with the same response.

I backtrack to the waterfall looking around for any other tributes before putting my bag and trident on the ground by the closest tree. I grab out the blue tube and give a good shake before dropping a third in each bottle before walking over to the loud water stream.

If we weren't in an arena where it was kill or be killed then I would have enjoyed the scenery but yet another thing will be ruined for me. I finished filling the bottles before giving them a good shake heading back to my bag when I have a bad feeling.

Something is wrong.

I look around sure of where I put my bag and weapon and then I curse. Someone was here. someone IS here. I take a deep breath before putting the bottles by the same tree and pulling out my Katana.

"well if it isn't the Ocean goddess in the flesh" a voice speaks up from behind as jump at the noise before turning around to see the female tribute from district 10.

"what is this a talk show?, new flash honey. talking will just get you killed in here" I snap back before tightening my grip on the katana.

"everyone loves you and I don't get why, what is so special about you"She growls as I see purple vein trailing up her neck.

The water, it poisoned her. that has to be it.

"you are not yourself, I don't want to kill you but if you try, I will have no choice but to fight back" I try to talk her down not wanting to kill yet another child for Snow.

"yeah your right, I am keeping the bag and if I see you again, I won't hesitate " she smirks before dropping her aim from the trident on the floor instead of my chest.

Before she could change her mind I run past the tree to where I last saw Angel and Charlie, I need to warn them.

"ADDY, BEHIND YOU"I hear Angel scream as I'm tackled to the ground and no surprise it was the girl from ten. I smash my head on a rock and my vision blurs.

I elbow her hand that wrapped around my neck as I gasp for air rolling onto of her as she fights back.

"No Angel, stay back"I yell as she starts to head to my aid.

"GOLD,CHARLIE, GOLD"Angel screams as the girl uses my distraction to stab me in the side once again leaning her body on mine pressing the knife deeper.

regardless of the pain I look to the side of me looking for anything to use as I see Charlie throw one of her knives across the ground just out of reach.
