Stand Up & Fight

Addison's POV

I double check my weapons and check Angel before taking a deep breath.

I got this, for Charlie

"Angel stay hidden, if I start struggling. I want you to run. do you understand me Angel?"I grab her shoulders making sure she was paying attention.

"no Addy, I have to help you. this is for Charlie" Angel shakes her at me as I give her a quick kiss on her forehead before pulling her into our possible last hug.

"ok, but if I tell you to run. run"I pulled back enough to see Angel nod her head.

"I love you Addy"Angel whispers into my shoulder as I tighten my arms around the 12 year old girl.

"and I love you Angel"

I pull away and head out of our temporary home walking around waiting for Axel and Cole to appear. Angel stayed back but enough for her to see me in the distance, far enough to have an advantage to run.

"well, well if it isn't Addy in the flesh." Axel chuckles stepping in front of me as I tighten my grip on my katana.

"where's your leader, did he leave you behind"I snap back glaring at Axel as he looks around.

"what about your two followers? that's right one is dead already" I clench my free hand.

Without thinking I grabbed a knife and threw it without aiming hitting Axel left knee making him growl at me before reaching for me as I step back and swing the katana which he moved out of the way.

Axel and I struggled for a while before he manage to slice his sword across my right thigh, I drop my katana moving away from the next swing which put me further away from my weapon. I grab two more knives from my belt and jump on defence knowing another fatal hit will kill me.

Instead of holding him off I start to head back to my katana, axel to enraged to notices as I stab one of the knives in his right shoulder as I dive roll for my weapon. Axel jumps onto of me as we fight over the Katana.

what is it with people trying to strangle me?

Before Axel or I grab the Katana a throwing knife hits Axel in the back of his head as he body falls ontop of me as I try to catch my breath.

BOOM

"Addy! are you ok?"Angel kicks Axel off of me before helping me stand as I look at my thigh.

"thanks to you, I am" I kiss her forehead before sitting on a rock as Angel grabs out left over medical cream from the start of the games and some bandage as she fixes my wounds. once again I am in debt to Angel.

Before I could say anything else I could hear a few footstep heading in this direction.

BOOM

BOOM

Top 3 Angel, Cole and myself. we are the last ones standing.

"Addy, we are top three now"Angel pulls me into a hug as she cries in joy.

"we are my girl, not long left" I whisper to her before I hear yet more footsteps.

I look over Angel and see three people I didn't think I would see again.

Charlie

They are mutts, I know that but seeing Charlie and Eric I couldn't help but smile. seeing my dad makes me scared, they aren't really here. they are the face of my loved one, they aren't actually them. I keep repeating in my head as I grab Angel putting her behind me.
