The morning alarm rang throughout the house. The blonde let out a small groan as he rolled around in his bed as his body decided to wake up. He lifted his arms in the air and let them slam down on the bed on both sides of him. He slowly opened his eyes as the bright Sumeru sunlight flashed through the window. He looked over at the clock beside his bed. It read 6:01a.m. and for some crazy reason, the sun was already blinding him, and the birds were already singing.

" 'Haitham..." Kaveh called in his tired morning voice. It was acknowledged with a small "what?" coming from their kitchen. Alhaitham sounded like he had been up for hours already. "6 a.m? Why?" Kaveh groaned. As he decided to finally sit up in his bed. He does the big morning stretch as he listens to Alhaitham's long lecture of a response, explaining how waking up earlier can give you more motivation, happiness, and health, and also how Tighnari and Cyno were coming over in a little while. Kaveh considered arguing back but decided against it because he didn't want to get an early start to their daily bickering.

He was honestly surprised he hadn't been kicked out of Alhaitham's house yet with all the sass and arguing that has happened.

Kaveh finally woke up enough so he could stand up without collapsing the second he stood up. He walked to their bathroom while gently rubbing his eyes. The first thing he does is turn on the tap and splash his face with cold water to wake him up even more. He leaned against the counter and looked at himself in the mirror. He then started brushing his teeth and then his hair. Once finished, he walked to the living room, still wearing the clothes he slept in, his plaid pants, and an oversized shirt that was actually Alhaitham's.

Alhaitham was sitting on the couch enjoying his coffee and reading his book. Alhaitham looked over at Kaveh "Nice shirt" he remarked. Kaveh stopped in his tracks, looked down, then looked back up and blushed. He just nervously giggled and continued his walk to the couch on the opposite side of the room. He sat down while simultaneously trying to hide his face, as it was still a bright shade of pink. He sat there wondering why his face was red, while slightly panicking inside, trying to get it to go away. Kaveh picked up a book that was on the table next to him, acting like he was reading, just to cover his face. In his panicked state, he did not realize he was holding the book upside down. Alhaitham looked up from hearing all the rustling noise the latter was making. He noticed the upside down book and caught a glimpse of Kaveh's flustered face. He looked back down at his coffee and smirked.

Once Kaveh seemed to have calmed down, he put the book down, still oblivious to the fact that he had it upside down that whole time. He looked back over at his roommate, who was so caught up in his book that he didn't notice Kaveh's staring. Kaveh sat there, zoned out, just wondering about how they became roommates. It was obvious they didn't like each other. They couldn't go 1 day without bickering. They were genuinely polar opposites. The only reason they lived together was because Kaveh was broke due to all the money spent for his program at the Akademiya. Alhaitham "purely operates by rationality." as said by their friend Tighnari. As for Kaveh, he operates more on feelings. Despite all this, they still couldn't say they hated each other. "Maybe it's just a roommate thing?" Kaveh thought to himself. He zoned back in and realized Alhaitham was no longer sitting on the couch. A look of confusion took over as Kaveh looked down the hall, looking for his roommate.

Suddenly, from behind him, a large hand grabbed his shoulder. Kaveh screamed and turned around, just to see it was Alhaitham. "You were zoned out for so long. I was just checking to see if you were back." Alhaitham said, in his monotone voice. "Ok, but do you need to scare the actual living shit out of people?" Kaveh fired back. "Not really. It's just fun to do when it's you." Alhaitham added as he walked away towards the kitchen. Kaveh glared at Alhaitham and rolled his eyes.

They were both interrupted by a knok on the door.
