After about 2-3 hours of studying and small talk, the four of them decide to walk out into Sumeru city to get some fresh air.
"Let's go to the Puspa Cafe!" Tighnari exclaimed as he basically dragged Cyno by the arm to the door of the cafe. Kaveh and Alhaitham followed closely behind.
Once everyone had ordered and gotten their drinks and snacks, Kaveh reached into his briefcase and pulled out a design for one of his current projects. Everyone looked at it and was very impressed... except Alhaitham. "Eh, i've seen better." he said, just to get a rise out of Kaveh.
Kaveh slowly turned his head to look at Alhaitham, "Oh trust me, I would poison you coffee in an instant if you weren't my source of shelter and not falling deeper into debt." Kaveh said Alhaitham chuckled to himself, and Tighnari was sitting there trying not to laugh.
"Why did the coffee file a police report?" Cyno said as Tignari let out an exasperated sigh.
"Because it was mugged. Get it? Because coffee is in -"
"We get it!" Tighnari said, cutting Cyno off.
Kaveh laughed at the joke. He found it a little bit funny.
Alhaitham smiled lightly to the sight of Kaveh's laughing, but he didn't let it show when Kaveh looked over at him. So Alhaitham turned away quickly.
Kaveh stared at Alhaitham for a few seconds before continuing to talk about his project. And Alhaitham, of course, kept pretending not to care.
