"Romilly," James Potter started, rushing into his living room.

Juliet Romilly sat up, rubbing her eyes and noticing Remus Lupin's absence.

"What?"

"Regulus sent a letter, I, er- I read it."

"Right."

"He said everyone knows, that you're a halfblood I mean..."

"Brilliant."

"He said you're going to be tested. That you have to return before they suspect you more. Apparently Lucius vouched for how loyal you are," he said with a confused tone.

Juliet scoffed, "nice of him."

"Yeah- er- the floo to your house is open, Regulus said."

"I have to go...now?"

"Yeah, I'm sorry," James said awkwardly.

"Is Remus..."

"He's gone to his mum's, she's not well. I'm sorry, Romilly. I'll say goodbye to him for you."

"Thank you," she said quietly.

"I'll see you at Hogwarts, yeah?" He asked her.

"Yeah, I'll see you then, er- thanks Potter," she muttered, pulling him into a quick hug, leaving James with a dumbfounded expression on his face.

"She's gone?" Lily asked, yawning and standing at James' side. "What's got you so shocked?"

"Juliet Romilly just hugged me," he said incredulously.

Lily laughed, "I've been telling you she's a nice witch for the past two years. Was she okay?"

"She just woke up, I didn't really give her much time to process. She asked about Remus, though," he smirked.

"Ah," Lily smiled.

"They were both asleep in here-"

"Shush," Lily said, elbowing him. "Stop gossiping."

Juliet arrived in front of 12 Grimmauld Place and knocked apprehensively, Nathaniel Romilly answered.

"Father," she said shakily.

"I am not your father," he spoke plainly.

"What- please-"

"You have mudblood blood. You are no family of mine. I wish I could treat you as we treated your mother-"

A hand rested on Nathaniel Romilly's shoulder and he shrunk away, Lucius Malfoy stepped forwards, Juliet raised an eyebrow at how her father cowered in the boy's presence.

"Regulus told you, I presume," he started, as she followed him down a hallway, "that you are to be tested."

"Yes," she said, ignoring how her dark mark ached.

"You will have a year, the Dark Lord appreciates that it will be hard, with school-"

"How kind," she said dryly.

Lucius gave her a wry smile, "he will see you now."

"I- what- here?" She asked.

Lucius gave her a push into a door which opened as she touched it, the twisted man sat at a table, dressed in long robes.

"Ah," he smiled. "Miss Romilly - or should I say, Miss Jones," he laughed.

"I am a Romilly," she said, her voice shaking. "I was rasied a Romilly, I have the power-"
