"Well?" Narcissa Black asked impatiently, tapping her foot against the floor as Juliet reappeared through the fireplace. The blonde witch's face fell when she saw that her letter was still sticking out of the witch's pocket. "You forgot."

"No, I didn't get a chance."

"That was important," Narcissa huffed.

"So was what I was there for," Juliet snapped.

The older witch was obviously surprised at how Juliet was daring to speak to her, "well, did you at least manage to sort yourself out?"

"No," she sighed, looking at Persephone sadly.

"Perhaps I could help?" Narcissa offered.

'No, it's fine."

"Well this letter has to get to my sister."

"Well I don't know what you want me to do, Narcissa. I can't go back there."

"Then Persephone could," she offered desperately.

"I doubt it."

"I'll think of something," Juliet said, wishing the witch would leave her and Persephone to speak. "What's so important about this letter?"

"What was so important about you going to Godric's Hollow this morning?"

Juliet smiled slightly, "fine. Bye Narcissa."

"Bye Jules."

"What happened?" Persephone asked her friend the moment that they were alone.

"Pettigrew."

"They believed him over you?"

"I didn't even get a chance to tell them, he knew I had the mark."

"Peter did?"

"Yeah, Caius told him I guess."

"Dick," the girl whispered.

"And that was obviously enough to turn them against me."

"Even Lupin?"

Juliet sighed, "even Lupin."

"What a prick."

"Yeah, well. It wasn't really him," she said, pushing him telling her to leave to the back of her mind. "Peter wrote to me, too."

"Let's see."

She shook her head, "they have a way of writing, it vanishes. I can't show you, only certain people know how to open it. Remus showed me, I said I wouldn't tell..."

The witch rolled her eyes, "fine, what did he say?"

"Warned me against coming back, basically. Said no one trusts me or wants me there."

Persephone laughed and stood up, running a hand through her hair, "they'll fucking see. When he kills them all they'll see."

"We can't give up telling them, Pen," Juliet said softly.

"We tried, they won't trust you now and Sirius lost trust in me the moment he saw this bloody tattoo. You and Lupin were the last hope we had."

"I know, you're right. They won't trust us at all."

"You could get Narcissa's letter over there, though. With your secret writings."

"Maybe, I'm not sure how I'd get it out of Grimmauld Place."

"Worth a try," she shrugged.

Juliet spent the following month quite idly at 12 Grimmauld Place. Regulus was rarely in to see her, so she spent her summer playing cards on the terrace with Walburga Black and Persephone, who visited regularly. Arabella and Barty had been living with her parents, whilst Ophelia was still at her family home. Regulus said that she was quite frequently at the training sessions led by Abraxas Malfoy, and that apparently the Dark Lord saw her as someone who could prove to be extremely useful.
