"He wrote that? Let me see." Ha-Rin acted like a crazy fan girl, but over a normal guy. He was most likely a creep, with probably gorgeous eyes and soft hair. His mouth was probably also very attractive. No, stop, stupid. I wanted to hit myself in the head for thinking about that, but there were others here.
I had just pulled up my phone and tapped in my code when Ha-Rin snatched it out of my hand and opened my messages. Her mouth dropped open as the other girls looked over her shoulder. They had all seen the messages now, and they now knew what kind of player he was-
"Not gonna lie, you are cute. But he has never seen you before." Ae-Cha's face was a big question mark as her brown eyes met mine. Well, she was right about one thing. He had never seen me before.
Okay listen. I'm not trying to come across like some pick me girl. However, up against all the other girls in our group, I was without a doubt the least attractive. Or was I? Maybe I was just too quiet for any guy to ever notice me? I was the only one among us that had never had a boyfriend outside of kindergarten, and that doesn't count.
"Ae-Cha, we can call her cute. But you are gay so it can and does sound like you are attracted to her." Cho-Hee pulled my phone out of Ha-Rin's grip. Her mouth was still hanging open and her eyes still wide.
"Who says I am not attracted to her?" Ae-Cha stuck out her tongue at Cho-Hee who carefully gave me my phone back. Cho-Hee took her hand and held it around her neck. It was light, of course, and she started tickling.
"Okay stop, stop, STOP!" Ae-Cha giggled and tried to push Cho-Hee off her. Ha-Rin was still in shock and pulled out her own phone. If I should take a guess, she was about to text Mi-Rue about his little... Compliment.
The bell rang and we all waved goodbye and headedour separate ways. Well, Ha-Rin and Ae-Cha both went to biology class with Mr. Tighnari, Cho-Hee to economics with Mr. Alhaitham, and I to English literature with Ms. Candace. The hot teachers. Well, almost all teachers were hot. As in almost.
We had a teacher from Mondstadt I believe. Pretty sure his name was Albert. He was so creepy and got removed from his old school for having a relationship with a student. The student later said that she said no, with tears in her eyes. I felt so sorry for her, even though I only knew her name. Wait, was it Baasima? Or Babette? Maybe Badane? I don't know.
I sat in the very back of the classroom and hit myself on the head until I got the name. Barbara. There it was. She was Mondstadt's soloist. The idol chosen by their god Barbatos. How could I forget her name?
"Don't hit your head." As I lifted my arm, it quickly fell and landed on the desk with a loud bang. Everyone turned their heads towards me, and the boy beside me. An awkward smile appearedonto my face as the boy shouted at them to keep their heads down.Although I didn't look at the boy, his voice was strong and masculine. Around my age, maybe a year or two older.
"Or the table." The hot breath on my ear as the boy spoke made me turn my head furiously at the boy. He had shoulder length blond hair and brown eyes that were half closed as he stared at me.
"Now you could look at me, Mi-Rue." Shit. He reached his hand out to me, but my body was frozen. This boy called me cutie yesterday, sorry yesternight, and now acted like he didn't know me.
"Interesting. Can't speak? A pity. You were cute, but now you cannot answer me. Then I might change my mind." His hand shifted back to his desk, and he lifted one eyebrow at me while smirking.
"Were? I'd like you to call me something else, by the way. We have only known each other since yesterday." I turned my head away, trying to ignore his rude, but oddly sweet comment.
"Since... Yesterday?" His face was a question mark, just like Ae-Cha's had been half an hour ago. I still didn't look at him before replying.
"You are not coming to BallaKu's concert? Guess the last ticket will be given to my cat instead." He smirked and turned my head towards his and pushed us both underneath the desks, so nobody could see us. I felt my face heat up.
"Oh, so you are (Y/N)? I was wondering if I called you a cutie without meaning it. But you are just as cute, might even say hot, as I pictured." If I wasn't already a red beetroot, I was now. He let out a hushed chuckle at my reaction.
"You are so easy. Not that I mind." He pulled us both back up. Nobody seemed to notice us missing. Not even the teacher, who started blabbering that never in her - I don't care for many years - of teaching had she had a class this terrible. I made eye contact with her, and I quickly realized that she was referring mostly to my test.
She started handing out our tests and when she came for me, disappointment was on her face. She leaned all the way to my face and spoke.
"A D (Y/N), you know what a D means?" I already knew the answer, she told me many times before.
"Do better or don't bother to go home. Just-" She waited for me to finish. She spoke too loudly. She wanted everyone to feel my humiliation. To make fun of me.
"Straight to the street. Can I get my test now?" I leaned back in my seat and wanted to disappear. The teacher gave another disappointed look in my direction, before huffing at giving me the test.
"Do better or no concert?" A smirk came from Mi-Rue, along with his sugar and innocent voice. He held up a test with a big, fat, red A.
"Shut up or no concert?" I mimicked his voice and gave the same innocent smirk. He apparently found it amusing, since he let out a stifled laugh before leaning his head back and smiling at me.
"Like I said. Cute, might even say hot."
