(Ae-Cha POV)
"Anyone seen Cho?" I ran franticly around the room, asking everyone, no matter if I knew them or not. Most of them, I didn't even know their first name, and a whole introduction started, before I could ask the next. The man in front of me at the moment seemed..... nice. He was a rather tall guy, with black hair and eyes closed in a smile. Maybe nice was an overstatement.
"So, who is this... Cho? You're looking for dear." He said with a glass of alcohol in his hand. He carefully spun it around and rested up against a wall. His name was Pantalone. That much I understood from his unnecessary long introduction. He didn't even know my name, and yet I knew pretty much everything about him.
I let my eyes move away from him to skip around person to person in the room, before returning my focus. "Ae-Cha is fine. And Cho is my friend. Long dark hair, brown eyes. Classic Inazumien girl?" I say, trying to describe her, but from Pantalone's face, I did not do a good job.
"Classic Inazumien girl?" He skim the room, then stare back at me, his eyes slightly open now. "I see about ten."
A slight chuckle escaped my lips and I took a sip of my drink. "She's friends with (Y/N), the one who lives here." Pantalone seemed interested, and span his alcohol around again, I still had no clue what kind, but he seemed like the type to enjoy them strong.
"Ah, her." He smiled, his eyes stayed closed out entire conversation, and he took a sip of his drink. "But, I don't believe I have seen... Cho? Was that her name?"
I nodded and looked down, before making looking up at him again. "Yeah. Cho." A soft chuckle left my lips, as I took a sip of my drink. "Actually Cho-Hee, but she would rather be called Cho." I corrected myself.
"I haven't seen her yet, maybe you should introduce us when you find her." Pantalone smiled and twirled his drink around once again. "How old are you?" My eyes meet his, they were still quite closed, but I could feel his eyes lingering on my face. "I'm 17, you?" Shit, how awkward. You? Who the fuck says you to a person in real life? Ew.
"I'm 23." He laughed deep and took a sip of his drink. "But still, I don't feel like an adult yet. I'm practically still in highschool." He smiled, though it didn't reach his eyes. His glasses was fogging up slightly, and his jacket was a little wrinkled. My glass got placed on the table, as I reached my hands out, and tried smoothing it out a little. His eyes moved down to my hands and watched them carefully.
I retracted my hands and let them fall down to my side, the glass on the table still stood there. "I should get going. I still haven't found Cho yet." I smiled and looked over his shoulder, trying to look for her in the crowd. My eyes blink a couple of times, before I see her dark hair in the crowd, hearing her laugh across the room, over the music and the blinking lights.
"There she is. It was nice to talk with you." A smile met my lips as I moved away from him, my glass standing on the table. I felt his eyes linger on me, even after I walked up to Cho. Her smile brightening when she was me.
"Oh hi Cha~ Have you met these two? They are really funny-" Cho laughed and slung an arm around me, pointing her glass to people, both blondes. The male grinned and took a sip of his drink. "But I'm the funniest of the two." The younger female hit his arm, and a hiss escaped between his grin.
"Don't listen to him. He just gets cocky when drinking. Thinking he's better than everyone else. I'm Lumine." The female, smiled gently and looked up at the guy, who was pouting down at her. "Aether." He mumbled sadly and moved away from Lumine.
"Hey! Where are you going!" Cho's eyes were panicked as her arm moved away from me, almost tripping me forward. Her feet darted over the floor to follow Aether, heels clicking on the floor and the liquid in her glass, spilling over one side. The floor now sticky with her drink.
I turned my eyes back at Lumine who giggled at Cho. "She's a funny one. You two know each other?" Lumine turned to me with a gentle smile and sweet eyes. Sticky sweet.
"Yeah. We know the one who lives here. A four clover... Now also with some guy." I sighed and look down at the floor. My sneakers squeaking on the smooth surface. "Some guy? Do I know him?" She looked at her drink, before downing the rest of it.
"Doubt it."
"I'm going for a refill, wanna come along?" Lumine moved a little to the side, shifting from one leg to the other. I nodded and walked with her. I picked up a new glass and poured some liquid inside it. The side dipped in colorful sugar and lemon.
Lumine and I walked outside in the cold air. It was getting windy, small rain droplets fell on my nose and I smiled. Lumine's eyes rested on the single water droplet on my nose, like a big freckle among my other. "You got something on your nose." She looked away again and out on the cars, driving past.
A police car went past, the blue sirens screaming in my ears. Ambulance short after. "What do you think happened?" She mumbled as a third ambulance drove past on the busy streets.
"Probably just some drunkard doing some stupid." I joked and sat down on a bench. Lumine sitting down beside me, placing her glass on the armrest. Our heads facing towards the road. Another car, then another. Then they stopped coming.
"Probably. Or what if some murderer has escaped?" She joked back, but nobody laughed. Only a crash could be heard. A loud one. And then fire. Big bright flames.
From behind us.
From the house.
