We were there. My parents got us front row tickets, of course they did. I was not surprised. No one was. It all made sense that they would for their only golden child. Their spoiled little child.
We had all bought light sticks at the entrance, and Rue was currently getting drinks and snacks for everyone waiting. He had insisted since he was new to our group, and he did not think he deserved to be invited in the first place.
"Hey, what song are we hoping he'll play?" Cho leaned over Ha-Rin to speak with me. I could not help but think 'all of them', but of course he wouldn't play all his songs at a single concert. He would also speak with the audience sometimes. Right? I hoped so.
"Uhm, my favourite is one hundred per cent 'Us', but I really enjoy Rover from his new album." I smiled at her and leaned back in my seat.
The huge stage was empty, and only on occasion was a staff or two walked across to look at the cameras and clean the stage for the tenth time.
We had waited for two hours now, and Rue had returned not long ago with snacks and water for all of us. Ae-Cha could not wait long enough before gulping her entire bottle down to a couple of sips.
The light around us faded, and the ones on stage turned on, the light around started glowing a deep purple. The sky above us was still a deep blue and made everything lighter.
"Hey Inazuma!" A feminine voice called out from a mic. Whispers and excited giggles filled the entire crowd. Who was that- Wait, I know that voice.
"You ready?" It was Raiden, and she now stepped out on the stage with a deep purple microphone in her hand that matched her hair. Screams and shouts filled the entire crowd of excitement. That was Raiden, wait, does that mean her brother- Is her brother BallaKu?! What was happening.
"My brothers hair did not sit perfectly, so it might take a month or two till he is finally ready. But I can easily talk for that long about the program for today. Since it is the biggest concert of Genshin Entertainments history, we have some special things happening that I will announce shortly." That was Raiden. And I had talked with her. I had talked with BallaKu's sister. Multiple times!
"Okay, so -"
"Raiden, what are you doing with my mic?" BallaKu. That was BallaKu. That was BallaKu!
"Uhh, talking?" Raiden smiled at the crowd, and we went wild. Even though I stood up in my seat, so did my friends. My friends. Friends.
"Yes, this is a concert, not a talk-show. Move." His face was covered with a black mask. He had a microphone in front of his mouth, and his clothing was black leather. He had a black beanie that covered the top of his head on. The crowd went silent when he walked out, until it got so loud you couldn't even think.
"Sorry, meanie." Raiden smiled apologetic to the crowd and steps out with a bow. BallaKu stepped out and readjusted his mic.
"Okay, shh, quiet down, or this concert will be for nothing, right?" We all went silent and sat down. At least I did. There was still a scream or two in the background.
BallaKu looked over the crowd. All the way to the end and back to the front row. Never made ye contact with any, well nobody screamed so no eye contact yet.
"All that has been to a concert with me before, scream." A couple from the middle and one from the second row, else there were dead silent.
"Oh no, it's bad then." He scolded. Some weird fangirls would probably find his scolding hot, but I'm not that bad of a fangirl. It was only attractive. Not hot.
"Well, I have a special way of going on with my concerts. Firstly, no interruptions from sisters brothers, if your mom is calling, then don't pick it up unless you are Asian, then pick it up for your own safety. Please."
"Second. No sitting down with phones or books. You are not the main character, you will not be picked, I will only find you annoying." I'm sure a girl or two placed their books carefully down and would let it rot in their bags.
"Thirdly. Raiden was about to say something about the chairs. Two lucky, or unlucky, depending on your opinions, of course, but I would say lucky, will have a small golden slip underneath their chairs. Each slip will have a price. You can give it away to others, but only by free will."
I bucked down and checked underneath my chair. Nothing. Of course, there was nothing. Only my bag.
I looked over to the other people in my group, and they all did the same. No luck.A loud scream from the middle left could be heard. One ticket.
"Free concert of my choice!""Okay, these prices are wild! A free concert? Better be last row." Rue mumbled from my side, and I got to agree with him. That was expensive, most of the GE concerts were.
It was quiet for a couple of seconds before another screamed, "Backstage meeting with BallaKu!"
Damm. Backstage? Nobody has ever been able to do that with rules and everything. GE almost made stuff like that seem illegal!"Who the fuck rigged these seats..." Ha-Rin swore and sat back in her chair, with a grumpy expression and pouted lips.
"You don't even like BallaKu that much?" Cho whispered to Ha-Rin and took a long sip of her waterborne. Ha-Rin only scoffed at her comment.
"That does not make it any less rigged. Now does it, smartass." And with that, Ha-Rin's night was officially ruined until someone would get her a diet coke, or Rue would date her. Both are very unlikely scenarios.
People around us didn't seem that pleased either, though a few didn't are, most was angry or sad. I could see why this would give chaos, but come on. Even I, a fan since deput, could handle my disappointment.
"Calm down now, would you. This is going to be a blast, and we have emote surprised throughout the night. So don't be too disappointed already!" BallaKu shouted to gje crowd, that seemed to loosen up and get back to normal. Well, not Ha-Rin.
"It is rigged." She mumbled. "Oh, calm down, he hasn't even sang Rover yet!" Rue grinned at her, and she grimaced.
"He doesn't need to, I am tired of that song already." Ha-Rin groaned and plopped a sour candy in her mouth.
"Oh, I know that." Rue laughed and patted Ha-Rin on her hair. "I know that."
Rigged?
