"Oh my god!" Cho and Ae-Cha screamed in each others faces when they saw each other. They jumped up and down with their hands on each others shoulders. The smile on my face grew as I walked up to Ha-Rin.
"So, where is Rue? I thought you said he'd come with you?" I asked and glided a hand over Ha-Rin's bare arm. "He's late. Something about her sister came up. He said he'd come in a couple hours though." She mumbled and swiped my hand away from her arm. My hand fell back down to my side. I bit back a snarky comment and nodded, "Okay."
I nodded my head towards the front door at the other two, who were still screaming and jumping up and down, acting like kindergarten kids after summer break. "You two are very loud, come on, I am still not done with setting snacks and decorations up." The two immediately stopped and stood still. "Sorry..." They mumbled and walked inside with their heads hanging low.
Someone walked into my back and placed a hand on my shoulder. "Hi," they whispered and I turned around. Ae-cha and Cho was placing a white tablecloth on the snack table, Ha-Rin had walked out to get snacks, there was no-one behind me. Weird.
I turned back around and something was in the corner, then disappeared. "Did you guys see that?" I asked the other two girls without moving my eyes. "No?" My back straightened and I squinted my eyes.
"I'm probably just tired then," I whispered to myself and turned over to the girls. "Tired? Already? We have done nothing yet though?" Ae-Cha smiled and ran a hand over the wrinkles on the cloth. "It was probably just your shadow." Cho said, trying to be reasonable. Just my shadow.
"How far along are you two?" The two turned their heads towards me. Ae-Cha opened her mouth to speak, but Cho was quick. "Almost done, we just need snacks now." As if she summoned her, Ha-Rin stepped through the front door with filled up bags. "They are heavy. Help me here?" She said angrily and began walking inside. Ae-Cha ran to her side and took one of the bags.
When their placed them down, we began filling the snacks up in bowls, when a knock was on the front door. "Just place the chips in the blue bowl and the popcorn in the red." I said and walked over to the door. The doorknob was cold, and it shined in the light from the lamp above me.
"Oh? Hi Rue, what are you doing here so early? I thought you didn't come till-" I looked at the clock behind me, "-Oh, till now." My eyes met with his again. "Hi." I almost smacked myself for saying hi again. "Hi." He grinned and placed a hand on my shoulder. "Is there anything I can help with?"
Was there? I mean, no. But- well... Yeah, he could help with a lot of things, but I enjoyed our girls time alone. "No. I mean yes, we are cleaning the last bit and getting snacks and stuff. Else we are about done now? I think. Maybe? I don't know. Cho probably knows more about it than I." I rambled and took a step back. "Come inside." Rue chuckled and moved past me inside the house. I let out a breath and followed after, closing the door behind me.
"Rue!" Ha-Rin smiled and ran up to him, side-hugging him awkwardly. He laughed uncomfortably and hugged her back. "Ha-Rin," he said and moved away. "Cho, (Y/N) said you knew more about her party than she did, so is there anything I can do?" He said and sent me a cocky grin that made me glare at him.
"Well I think we are about done now.." Cho thankfully ignored his unnecessary addition and moved past him, hitting his shoulder gently. "But you are a little late, mister." She joked and picked up a bowl with popcorn and placed it down on the snack table. "Yeah yeah, sorry I guess." He mumbled and sat down on a couch in the corner.
"I thought I went to the wrong address. I had no clue you lived this fancy (Y/N)?" He chuckled and glided his hand over the soft material of the couch. "My parents are rich and never home. The house makes no difference." I sighed and sat down on the ground with crossed legs. "I'm so tired." I complained randomly and layed down dramatically with a hand on my forehead.
"We know. Like the mysterious shadow haunting your house and standing in the corner with scary eyes and a clown hat." Cho giggled and sat down. Herfingers went from my forehead and down my nose, then repeated. "The man you feared in sixth grade? You really still think he is here?" Ha-Rin groaned and sat down beside Rue.
I glared at her and made myself comfortable on the wooden floor. "Yeah, I don't think he's here, but sometimes I do feel watched. And?" I sneered at her and sat up again after my head hurting from lying on the ground. "And nothing. I'm just saying it is weird. Like a clown staring at you? That does some weird, doesn't it?" Ha-Rin sneered back.
"Can you two please shut up? Let it be?" Ae-Cha groaned and glared between us. "Who cares if (Y/N) still thinks there is a weird clown staring at her? Nobody does. So let it be." Ae-Cha continued and took a couple chips in her mouth and chewed loudly, the sounds filling the room. Rue's eyes darted between the three of us.
"You see a clo-"
"Shut up Rue." I groaned and stood up. "Don't break anything or I will personally peel your skin off." I said as I left the room to go outside. The cold air was refreshing and the grass was freshly cut, leaving a scent of green. "Hello there." I froze and turned around. Behind me two people stood, a long haired girl and a short haired boy- "Raiden? And-" I stopped myself and looked at the grinning boy standing beside her.
"Hi."
