VANCE WOKE up, tied to a chair

VANCE WOKE up, tied to a chair. He looked up at the small light dangling from the ceiling before trailing his eyes down to the walls. It looked like some type of dark wooden shack.
He licked his lips, a familiar metallic taste appearing. He assumed they had beat him unconscious to get him to stop moving.

He pulled his arms, attempting to free himself from the ropes but instead he just felt them leave rope burn on his wrists. But one would have to be dumb to think a few rope burns would stop Vance Hopper from trying to escape.

He kept tugging but the more he did the more the ropes cut into his skin. Before long he felt blood start dripping down his hands.
Vance saw light appearing from in front of him than shadowed bodies. There was four of them.

Vance looked at them and if looks could kill they'd be goners. First, He saw his mother. In all honesty, he wasn't even surprised.
He then saw two guards than... Nolan. His blood ran cold and his jaw dropped a bit. "You miss me?" The man asked with a smirk.

Vance's jaw tightened, watching the man who stood in front of him. "How." The boy seethed, barely opening his mouth to speak. Nolan laughed. "You really don't know what money can do, huh?" He answered with a smile.
Vance made eye contact with Ali and she looked away, ashamed. It was Vance's turn to laugh.

"Let me guess, you bribed my mom with money?" He asked though he knew he was right. "Silly boy. Of course I did." Nolan laughed again but it wasn't because anything was funny he was just psychotic.

Ali cleared her voice, signaling she wanted to talk. Nolan looked at her, nodding. "Vance, I did what I felt what right." He rolled his eyes.
"Yeah because having your son held hostage is right." He snapped back causing Nolan to laugh again though nothing about this was funny.

"No, she needed the money." He replied, leaning down to Vance's level on the chair. That's when Vance realized that's why Ali couldn't tell him how she was able to "rent" the house.
This is the exact secret she was keeping from everyone. "Now, you're friends will be chilling in my mansion while your here, struggling to keep your life." Nolan smirked, whispering in his ear.

Vance wanted to so badly beat him up until he couldn't breathe. He tried yanking his hands again only for a sharp pain to go through his arms. "Ooh!" Nolan laughed, backing away.
"Fuck you." Vance seethed. "You too, Ali." He spat his mothers name like it was venom. She glared at him. "You mean it?" Nolan asked, quirking an eyebrow.

"Who said I didn't?" The boy quickly answered. "One smart kid you got here, Ali." Nolan spoke, looking behind him at her. "Yeah, he is. Which also means there is a ninety nine percent chance he'll find away to get out of here." She sorta defended her son.

"Hm, well if he does, this place is guarded real well so you know kid, I wouldn't even bother." Vance kept that in mind for whenever the time came. "Now, be good, mkay?" Nolan asked, bending down to Vance again except this time he had a switchblade out.
"No." That's when he felt his arm get cut. "My business is done here. Bye Hopper." The man stated, walking out with the guards following.

Ali and Vance looked at each other a little longer before she also followed. Vance heard chains being used on the door, assuming there were guards outside the building.

The boy could feel the blood dripping down his bare arm. Someone had removed his jacket causing goosebumps to rise on his skin from the cold.
The room was in fact cold and still. The air felt stiff, looking at all the dust that was slowly floating around.

Vance rolled his head back, trying to forget the pain in his wrists, face, and arms. He started thinking about the others. Why the hell would Nolan lock them up in a mansion?

Maybe to get their hopes of living up? Was the first answer that came to Vance's head. And why would they just trap Vance in a warehouse? Maybe because I'm more of a threat? He kept thinking about answers to his questions, trying to pass time without being in pain.

Blue and Sadie passed time by braiding each others hair, talking, and dancing to non existent music. Maids came in to give them food and water when the time came. Surprisingly, it wasn't that bad.
As for the boys, Baylen wouldn't stop stressing about Vance. Almost every hour the boy would say something about it. Noah and Mason were growing tired of it.

"Guys, he's still not here. Maybe they've killed him by now!" The other two groaned as Baylen ranted for the fifth time since they've been there.
"It's Vance. He's probably living off of coconuts somewhere for all we know." Mason said, putting his head in his hands.

"You've gotta stop worrin' bro. He's still alive." Noah tried to help but Baylen still wasn't listening.

Meanwhile, Blue and Sadie were talking about their past relationships. "Yeah, I once dated a guy whose name was Steve. He was a strange one to say the least." Sadie laughed as she told the story.
"He was oddly obsessed with his hair and babysat kids for literally no reason. I broke up with him after he kept talking to other girls. He's dating some chick now, not so sure who but I'm glad we're both happy now." She smiled.

"Seems like one hell of a character." Blue laughed. "Oh definitely." The blonde laughed as well. "So, what about you?" She asked, rolling into her stomach, staring up at Blue who was sitting criss crossed.

"Well... Vance is/was my first boyfriend. We used to hate each other. It was like... really bad." She laughed, remembering all the times they fought for no reason at all.
"Really? You've told me a bit about it before tell me more." Sadie smiled happily. "Yeah. One time he got mad at me for buying a drink he didn't like. He followed me out of the store than proceeded to throw me onto to the ground." She summed up what she could remember.

"Jesus, kids got a problem." Sadie said but realized that sounded rude. "Shit, I didn't mean it that way. That sounded really rude um..." "Don't worry about it. I get what you mean." Blue told her so she wouldn't feel bad anymore.

"But somehow we got turned around on the love road. It was scary at first but then I realized he was probably more scared than I was and I just sorta... found out that loving someone is actually a lot easier than I thought. Well sometimes." She laughed.

"I get it. Love can be scary. But whatever happens, happens." Sadie said, giving Blue a small smile. "Yep." She replied.
The two continued talking until dark when the maid brought in their food. "I'm still so confused about this whole thing." Blue said, grabbing the tray.

"Same. It's so weird." Sadie replied, sitting on the bed besides her. "But at least we have each other." Blue smiled. Sadie smiled back before they dug into their food.
