What was this feeling in my chest?

Seeing that smile on Vash's face was making my heart race.

"You look amazing Y/n" Vash said.

"Thank you...all of you" I said with a smile.

It was then that the doctor came in.

"I'm glad to see your on your feet again" the doctor said.

"I'm going to have to check a few things and you can leave" the doctor said with a smile.

When he started coming up to me I felt nervous and took a step back.

I felt like a cornered wolf cub surrounded by a pack of hunters.

I was started to get used to Meryl, Millie, and Wolfwood, but...another?

When the doctor got closer and stepped back again until I was leaned against something.

I gripped my heart not even looked at what I ran into as all I could see was the doctor in front of me.

My heart was racing and I felt like I was going to freak out.

Suddenly whatever was behind me grabbed me.

I let out a yelp of fear and was about to freak out until I realized who was behind me.

I let out a shaky breath and looked up and saw Vash's gentle smile.

"It's all right, he is not here to hurt you, just relax" Vash said with a smile.

I nodded and sat on the bed when the doctor came over I flinched.

But he pulled out some kind of needle and I felt my heart speed up again.

"Please you need to calm down if this is injected wrong it could damage you more" the doctor pleaded.

"She's not really thrashing she is calm..." Wolfwood said.

"No you see, her injury was directly where her heart is, and this is to keep the injury from being infected, but if I injected it when her heart is beating fast the needle might get her heart directly which could be dire I'm not precise enough to do the timing right." The doctor said.

I felt like my heart was going to explode and I was scared I wanted to leave.

"Do you know anything that could calm her" the doctor asked.

Everyone all turned their heads and looked at Vash.

Vash scratched his cheek and had a small smile.

"I'll do what I can..." Vash said a bit nervous.

"Dude, you are literally the only one who she lets near her" Meryl said.

"I don't know a lot but from what I witnessed a moment ago it should work" the doctor said.

Vash sighed and sat on the bed next to me.

I felt my heart racing and I had not noticed someone sit down.

Suddenly I head Vash's voice.

"Y/n...look at me" Vash said gently.

I looked at him fear clear in my eyes.

"Hay hay hay it's ok..." Vash said gently and he wrapped his arms around me.

He held me close and I his heart beat gently, calming my own.

I closed my eyes after I took a shaky breath and leaned into his warm embrace.

I felt him nod about something.
