A Souls Bond (Vash the Stampede x Reader)

Devils Laugh

It was dark and everyone was tired.
"Ok you all this should work for a camp for the night." Vash said softly with a yawn.
Everyone tiredly got out of the car and set up the camp site for everyone to rest in.
When everything was done I looked up at the sky watching the stars.
I felt a soft hand on my shoulder and I smiled looking at Vash.
"Hay..." I said softly with a smile.
"You going to tell me what happened?" Vash said as he glanced at me.
I signed and looked at him.
"Straight to the point I see. I don't really know...I thought I saw a shadow but when I looked away and went to follow you I had a huge cut on my shoulder" I said softly.
Vash could tell I was being honest but that's what made him worry.

"Do you know what the shadow was?" Vash asked concerned.

"No idea, I might have been seeing things but it's ok, I'm fine" I said with a smile.

Vash sighed and rubbed that back of his neck.

"Ok, just be careful ok" he said softly.

"All right Vash" I said as I leaned my head on his shoulder.

"You know...Vash....you mean so much to me, so I have one thing to ask as well..." I said softly.

"What is it Y/n" he answered as he looked at me softly.

"Don't leave me behind...please, I know you want to protect me but I have a bad feeling that you will leave me behind...I can't handle that...just promise no matter how hard it may get just don't leave me alone..." I said softly as I started falling asleep.

"I promise..." I heard him say before I fell asleep on him.

VASH POV

"You going to keep that promise needle noggin" Wolfwood's said walking out from behind the rocks. 

"I will, because as much as I hate to say it Knives is after her, and she will be safer with me than on her own." I said softly as started petting her hair. 

"I hope you keep your word for her sake, she is hopelessly attached to you" Wolfwood said as he lit another cigarette. 

I sighed at that.

"I don't even understand how she got so attached to me in the first place" I said with a sigh.

"Hay to be fare you are hopeless to in that territory to bud" Wolfwood said. 

I glared at him in response to his "joke". 

"I'm not hopelessly attracted" I said to him with a growl.

"Well the way you two act says other wise you're more protective of her than anyone else" Wolfwood said.

"Tell me this, if you had to choose between her life and a small town of strangers with no more than twenty people who would you pick?" Wolfwood added.

"Both." I said right away I wouldn't let anyone die.

"But tell me if you HAD to pick one who would it be? Know in real life I have no doubt in my mind you would save both, but...if you couldn't what then? I know what you would choose, her." Wolfwood said blowing out a puff of smoke.

"..." I didn't know how to respond to that honestly, but....he was right, as much as I hated to admit it, he was right.

"See, hopelessly attached, and you hide damn well or she will be the target for more than just Knives and the gun ho guns" Wolfwood said seriously.

I looked down at Y/n's sleeping form and sighed.

Wolfwood has a point.

"So needle brain what know, I don't know about you but I feel like there is more to this girl than meets the eye what about you" Wolfwood said.

"I agree with you there, something is odd about her...she is not normal" I said quietly.

"I think it's time to visit her neighbor town...see if we can find anything out" Wolfwood said as he looked at Y/n.

"I do think it's a good idea, however how bad will it be on her..." I asked worried about what might happen to her mental state.

"Think about the bigger picture here dimwit!" Wolfwood yelled.

"Fine, but if things get too bad we are leaving the town right away." I said glaring at Wolfwood.

The man seemed content with that as he turned around and went to bed.

I sighed in annoyance, but looked at Y/n and my face softened.

"I'm sorry about were we will have to take you tomorrow...but I just hope you can handle it...I'll be by your side the entire time..." I said as I place a small kiss on her head. 

I picked Y/n up and laid her down and put some blankets on her, then laid down next to her in my own sleeping bag. But then I heard her mumble and before I knew it she was snuggling up to me. 

I smiled then wrapped my arms around her and soon fell fast asleep.

I yawned as I started waking up.

I felt warmer than I would've thought but then I realized why and I smiled I turned around to face Vash as I nuzzled him softly and snuggled him.

I heard a small laugh from next to me and I looked up to be met with gorgeous blue eyes.

"Morning my love...how are you?" Vash asked with a smile.

I gave him a quick kiss on the lips then hid my face giggling.

"You little-" Vash said playfully as he pulled the blanket over both of us and he looked at me from under him the blanket and put his hand on my cheek pulling me close to him and giving me a soft kiss on the lips and then on my neck. 

"Ouch!" I yelped softly because after he kissed my neck he bit me. 

He laughed then kissed the spot and pulled me close to his body nuzzling me.

"Revenge" he simply said with a smile.

I laughed softly and we both got up and packed our stuff.

After we were ready we woke up the girls and Wolfwood.

After everyone was ready we went to the car.

"So we're are we going?" Millie asked curiously.

Everything went silent at that, it made me nervous.

"Um...we are going to Y/n sister town...to look for clues and information if we can find any other reason why Knives would go after her..." Vash said softly.

I immediately went stiff at that...back to that town...I...if people recognize me...I'll loose Vash and everyone else.

"D...do we have to" I said anxiety in my voice.

"Yes." Wolfwood said straight forward.

I was scared...what might happen there...what if he sees me.

But little did we know someone was watching from afar.

"Master will be pleased to know that 777 is coming home...." A boy in all black said the only thing that could be seen were those piecing red eyes...and a laugh so horrible it could only be the Devils.

Hay guys! I'm soooo sorry! I'm so upset with how long it took to get this out. I have been struggling lately and I had no time to get to this. I'm hoping from know on things will get better.
