Midnight Dance

I opened my eyes to see the moons are still out.

I looked to my side seeing Vash sleeping peacefully.

I sighed and got up carful not to wake him.

I opened the door and walked outside looking up at the sky.

I started humming a small tune and sat down on a rock.

"Searching the stars...for my destiny~ walking a path I know won't be easy~ looking for an answer to see~" I took a breath about to continue but jumped when I felt a hand on my shoulder.

I looked to see who it was.

"What you doing out here for?" I heard the gentle voice I had grown to love.

"Nothing really...just that I felt like looking at the stars...it reminds me of my mother" I said softly.

"Your mother?" Vash asked as he sat next to me.

"Well...I remember my mother use to take me outside at night...she would sing a song...the song is really all I remember about her, I don't even know what she looks like" I said softly.

"A song huh? I wonder if the good voices run in your family" Vash said with a small smile.

"What do you mean?" I asked curious.

"Oh, your sister Rem...she liked to sing to...I still remember one in particular" Vash said.

It made me smile at the softness in his face.

"Sing it to me" Vash said making me flustered.

"HU...HUH!" I shouted shocked.

I had never sang in front of someone...and the song...my mother said it was only to be sung to those you love.

I looked at Vash blushing a bit, because I do love him...but I don't even know if I remember the song.

I took in a shaky breath.

"Fine..." I said softly avoiding his eyes.

Vash waited patiently for me to start making me more nervous.

Ok...Y/n...you got this...I gave myself a little pep talk.

"I use to close my eyes and wonder where I belonged~ 

Searching the starts for my destiny~ 

Walking a path I know won't be easy~ 

looking for an answer to see~ 

I kept praying! That my road won't lead to misery!~

I felt my world crumbling before my eyes!~

This lonely world is full of lies!~

It was then that I found what I have been searching for all this time~
