The Town of Slaves

I was nervous as we entered the car, I felt my heart racing and it was creating a pain.
Ever since I got that injury from knives whenever my heart beats fast it hurts, even to the touch it caused pain throughout my entire body.
But the I felt a hand on my chest above my heart and I jumped by fear and pain.
"Calm down it's ok" Vash said as he wrapped his other arm around my body and pulled me close with his hand protectively above my racing heart. Once I realized it was him in calmed down and dug my head into his shoulder and gripped onto his coat.
"Wolfwood i don't think this is a good idea she is already panicked" I said worried.
"We can't afford to be short on knowledge here we need to know all the reasons for why Knives wants her, besides we are already half way there it's to late to turn back"  Wolfwood said ignoring what Vash said.
"But-" Vash started and I cut him off.
"I...it's ok...." I said taking a deep breath.
Maybe he is dead anyway...I thought as I still clung to Vash.
Vash gave me a look of worry and he gripped tightly to me.
It was silent for about an hour and a half as we continue our drive to my sister town.
But then we slowed down, I knew we where not in the town but then why were we slowing down?
I looked out the window and my heart dropped.
I was haven't flashbacks of this place my old town, nothing but pain came to my mind as I felt tears form in my eyes.
"Y/n look at me, Y/N!" Vash said trying to get my attention.
Vash was getting more and more worried and he gripped me tightly and took my head to look at him.
"Y/n, don't look at that ok? Look at me, that's all in the past, I got you now and I won't let anyone hurt you." Vash said softly as he brought his hand to my cheek and used his thumb to wipe my tear away.
He pulled me into a tight hug, and I felt the others looking at me worriedly, I felt bad for making them worry but I couldn't control it, myself, or my emotions.
It was mid-day when we finally got to the town and I was tense.
"Y/n will you be ok?" Vash asked in worry as he looked at me and the others got out of the car.
I nodded softly and kissed him softly on the cheek and we both got out of the car.
The city was just as I remembered, slaves everywhere...I ran up to Vash and gripping onto his coat.
"All right we're to start..." Wolfwood said lighting a cigarette.
No one really answer him but we just started walking down the main road.
I jumped out of my skin when I heard a whip, I yelped loudly fear as I clung to Vash.
"Hay hay it's ok..." Vash said softly hugging me softly.
Everyone looked at me oddly and my anxiety was through the roof.
"H...hay sir can I buy yer slave...she looks scrumptious...she like she would have pretty blood...." A creepy man said as he pulled out a knife.
"Back off! She's not a slave you wicked man!" Vash yelled as he put his arm in front of me protectively.
The man walked off his hand in the air.
"Y/n...I...is that you?" I heard a small gentle familiar voice.
Vash jumped in protectively as did the others.
"S..star?" I said softly as I walked to her.
"Your still alive!" Star said brightly as she hugged me tightly.
This however triggered Vash and he jumped into to grab me.
But star pulled me behind her lovingly.
"You stay away from her! Don't touch her you monster!" Star yelled as she glared at Vash.
"No, it's ok Star...Vash is a good guy..." I said softly.
"How many times do I have to tell you no man who keeps a slave is a good guy!" Star said.
Wolfwood laughed a bit at this.
"To trusting just like out puppy here" wolfwood said as he patted Vash on the back.
Vash seemed so sad after what Star said and I ran him.
Star tried to grab me but failed.
"IF YOU TOUCH HER I SWERE!" Star yelled pulling out her gun pointing it at him.
"No Star stop it!" I yelled in worry as I clung to Vash's side.
He smiled softly at the Star.
"It seems you weren't completely alone when you were a slave...I'm glad..." Vash said softly as he pet my head softly.
Star put away her gun seeing I was ok but still not dropping her guard.
"When she was a slave?" Star said confused.
"After my old town was destroyed...Vash saved my life...and he set me free...I'm not a slave Star...I'm with this man because I love and adore him" I said happily.
"Awwww....thank you Y/n I love you to!" Vash said with a smile and he kissed me on the cheek.
"Seriously..." Star said in shock.
"Star...is Ajar still..." I started but she cut me off.
"Yes he is. And don't let him see you or you risk him continuing his experiments on you, don't matter if your free he will still do it, and you know it. If your free I don't see why you would risk coming here you know what he will do"  Star said with a stiff expression.
" What know? Y/n you did not tell me about some creep!" Vash said in worry.
"It's ok, he won't see us so it doesn't matter" I said trying to shake off the conversation.
"Who's this Ajar guy?" Meryl said confused.
"It's nothing, we should get motel before they get sold out" I said.
That took everyone's mind off of what was said and we all ate and got ready to sleep.
Once everything was said and done me and Vash went to our room.
I sighed in exhaustion as I laid on the bed.
When Vash laid down I snuggled up to his warm body and clung to him.
"You doing ok?" Vash asked.
I just nodded and nuzzled him softly.
I felt him sigh then place a kiss on my neck softly.
I hummed softly feeling the warmth and in return I kissed him softly on the lips.
But to my surprise he started kissing me back passionately.
8 blushed softly when he pulled away and snuggled me.
"I love you....and I wouldn't let anyone hurt you...you know that right?" Vash said softly.
"Yes I do..and I love you to" I said softly as we both fell asleep.
