Coal awoke from what seemed like a nap really, his facial expression and eyes showed how tired he was. Looking over on the other side of the bed laid a still sleeping briar. There was something about how peaceful she looked, even though she didn't move which was kind of scary. He just stared at her, watching her chest fall up and down as she breathed, he admire her. Would he admit it? Of course not, he had too much pride. But he admired her. He has never really admired anyone. He thought this was all confusing, and to be fair, it's a confusing thing to think about.
He shook his head and looked at the alarm clock on the side table reading 12:35pm and then at briars phone which kept going off with calls and messages from both Crow and Chick. "Can't they take a fucking hint?" Coal said groggily as he went over to her phone and answered it.
"Hel-" "Omg Coal thank goodness." "Hi Chick." the male muttered and then yawned. "Are you just waking up? Is briar even awake? How is she doing by-" "Alright first off, Yes i did. Secondly, she fine and still asleep. Now what's with all of the Fucking questions." "Well that's rude, but we are inviting you guys out to lunch, past lunch lunch? Remember?"
Coal sighed now remembering what was said last night and stared blankly at the clock. "text briar what time and i'll see if she's willing to go." "Alrighty!! i'll text her!" with that Coal hung up the phone and got ready for the afternoon. he walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower and yawned. After about 30 minutes of contemplating his life choices he was fully ready and dressed for the day. "Briar you have to get up" he said calmly while the she groaned and sat up with hazy eyes "Why.." "Because it's past 1pm and chick wants us to go out with th-" "WAIT WHAT" briar shot up and scramble to the bathroom. "Your going to hurt yourself-" "I have a raging headache i think that's the only pain i'm going to feel today." She smile while getting ready. "Welcome to the world of hangovers." Coal said laughing a bit. "Thanks for the welcome.." she said softly giggling. 40 minutes later a fully ready briar came out of the bathroom and into the living room. "Ok i texted chick back and said we would be there in 30 minutes, I called crow back and told him i was fine, I made you coffee since it looks like you haven't made any, i did some
laundry, and-" "Thank you but you don't have to do all of that." he said pulling her into a hug which she melted into too. "Let's go ok?" she nodded turning off the coffee maker and grabbing the keys.
