Luke and I had been texting non stop and it was starting to annoy Michael. I was at his house for Violet's birthday party. I was in charge of making sure people would actually show up. Michael had Calum get food and booze. Luke was coming over with Calum to help.

"Zoe, get your ass up and help me!" Michael shouted, holding a deflated balloon in his hand.

"Just do what Violet does when she gives you head and you should be all set." I gave him a thumbs up.

He rolled his eyes at me before resuming his decorating. I got up to open the door for Calum and Luke as they arrived with the food and booze.

I gave Calum a quick hug before being scooped up into Luke's arms. My arms and legs wrapped around Luke's body before I gave him a nice kiss on his nose.

"You missed my lips." He giggled.

"Your nose is adoable." I said before I booped it. He rolled his eyes before placing a chaste kiss to my cheek.

"What kind of kiss was that?" I asked, still clinging to his body.

He giggled and placed open mouthed kisses all over my face and down my neck. "Are those better?"

"Very."

"Can you two, please just get a fucking room?" A frustrated Michael, shouted at us.

"Take your own advice, Michael Gordon." I teased. "I'll finish decorating."

As I finished blowing up balloons and hanging up some streamers, Calum came over to me with two cups in his hands. I accepted the red solo cup and took a sip from it. Cheap beer. The only alcohol we could afford without going broke.

"I'm really glad that Luke found you," he started. "You make him really happy."

"Aw Cal," I blushed. "That means a lot."

I raised my plastic cup to his and clinked them together. We were interupted when two arms found there way around my waist. Luke whispered into my ear, "Hi babe," before giving my cheek a quick peck. I turned to face him and stood on my tip toes to give him a kiss. Even with a pair of four inch heels, I still wasn't tall enough to kiss him.

More people started showing up and the house began filling up quickly. Michael had planned for Violet to come over to the house for a party. She didn't know how many people had planned to show up. People that we've all known for years had shown up. Michael wanted to make this birthday special for his girl.

Whispers started to fill the air as we saw Violet approach the house. Everyone hid from the front door as she walked up the steps. She wore a maroon crop top, a black skirt, and black low cut boots. Her hair was half up and half down.

I crept out into the hallway along with Mikey and waited for her to unlock the door. The jiggle of the doorknob and the sound of her keys jingling had everyone in anticipation.

She unlocked the door to find everyone yelling out "Surprise!" She was in shock to say the least.

"Happy birthday!" We cheered in unison.

Michael and I quickly ran up to give her a big hug. Right after, Luke, Calum and a few others joined in. Once we all dispersed, I heard my last name being called out.

"Walker! Zoe Walker!"

"Ashton!" I cheered, running up to him giving a big hug.

"How've you been kiddo?" He ruffled my hair (which I worked very hard on to get it the way I wanted it to look).

"Good, good." I said as I fixed my hair as well as I could. "I've been doing okay in school and I'm happy, for once." I genuinely smiled. I was happy because of Luke. He made me happy.

"I'm glad things are shaping up for you! How's the new kid?" He nudged my arm, laughing.

"He's really good," I blushed. "He's uh, actually my boyfriend now." I grinned.

He instantly hugged me, scaring me half to death. He mumbled something about finding a good guy and that he wanted to meet him. He rocked us back and forth before letting me go.

Ash's dimples bore through his cheeks as he started talking about his girl. He met a girl in California and they instantly hit it off. I could tell he was happy just by the way he talked about her. I was happy for him.

I got his number before I forgot once again. I had to make sure that we would catch up a little later down the road. He kissed my forehead before parting ways.

"I love you, kid. Make me proud."

He was like a father figure in my life. He was older by age, but he genuinely cared for me and wanted me to do well. I was glad to have him in my life.

I met up with Luke after I parted ways with Ashton.

"Hey baby girl," he smiled, kissing me on my cheek.

If I was snow and could melt, I would've melt right on the spot. He looked at me like no one else ever had. His eyes were filled with care and love for me. Luke made me feel so special with the little things he said and did. He was such a good person. He was kind and compassionate.

I think I might have been starting to fall for him. It was too late to turn back now.

I think I might be in love with Luke Hemmings.
