the cure : "spinning on that dizzy edge, i kissed her face and kissed her head."
— ximena and ethan, feeling more sick than ever, both stumbled into ximena's dorm.
ethan was holding her arm in case she decided to be more of a klutz than she already was being.
"i can't believe you didn't stop me." ximena sighed. "i tried to — like for each drink after your fifth one." ethan told her with a scoff.

"that's enough." ethan said, going to grab the drink from ximena's hand, but she jerked it away.
for her 6th drink, ethan noticed too. "hey, wanna let me steal that?" he asks, attempting to grab the drink out of her hand again, but she wouldn't allow him too.

"i know, i'm sorry." ximena's head pounded, and she plopped onto her bed with the help of ethan.
"wait, put my radio thing on." ximena pointed to the radio that sat on her dresser.
"why?" he scoffed. "i want to listen to music, it helps." ximena stated, and ethan did as she said.
once he did, a familiar song began playing. "just like heaven", the cure.
"you listen to the cure?" he asked, smiling at the recognition of the song. "the cure is a god send, are you kidding me?" ximena confirmed.
finally, ethan studied her side of the room, becoming fond of all the things she seemed to like and the bands she listened to.
ethan sat beside her, rubbing his temples due to his throbbing head, too. "i'm so sorry." she apologized, rubbing her face in hope that it would knock her out of the dizziness she felt in that moment.
"for what?" ethan asks. "well, i kind of made you feel all sick, huh?" ximena scoffed.
"it was worth it — i got to know you a little more." ethan assured.
"i'm not a very cool person to know, though." ximena said, her smile fading as she looked at ethan, now curious by what he had meant.
