— "ximena!" shouted the girl's mom. hold on. ximena sighed into her phone, cutting off chad.
she jumped up from her bed, leaving a crack in her door open to yell back. "yes?"
"go to bed, i can hear you from down here!" sidney remarked. "sorry!" ximena replied before shutting her door again and plopping into her stomach once again, grabbing her phone back off of her bed.
i'm back. ximena said. so, when are you coming to new york? chad asked. as soon as i get all of my shit over to new york. the girl answered with a sigh, referring to her trait impatience.
i got roomed with this geeky guy, but i've made some progress with him. chad chuckled lightly. let me guess, he has a dorky name, too? ximena laughed.
his name is ethan... chad winced. of course it is, ximena grinned, that grin turning into a smirk. is he cute?
i wouldn't be able to determine that, i guess you'll have to find out. chad stated.
alright then, see you tomorrow when the rest of my stuff is finally there. ximena huffed. goodnight. chad told her, and she returned the goodnight before hanging up.
she threw herself onto her back and began texting tara to keep herself entertained.
THE NEXT DAY
"oh, god. i hate new york." sidney shook her head in disapproval as she stared at blackmore university before turning to her daughter who stared at it in awe.
"i love new york." she replied breathlessly. "yeah, well you won't when you realize the bad things about it." sidney shrugged and reached into the car to grab a box and hand it to ximena.
"yeah, like getting stabbed on a subway and no one noticing 'cause of how crowded it is?" ximena asked sarcastically. "not the best example, but sure." sidney grinned.
ximena adjusted her hold on the box including her stuff. mark got out of the car as well so that he and sidney could say their brief goodbyes.
"i'll come visit you, don't take this seriously." ximena laughed. "yeah, and you better tell us everything." sidney answered, sharing a quick hug with the girl, mark jointing in on it for a second.
"okay," ximena bent down to pick up the box again after she'd set it down to hug her parents. "i'll be facetiming both of you in the next hour or two after having a mental breakdown, be prepared."
"oh, hurry up already." sidney gently and playfully shoved her daughter toward the entrance gates of the university.
"she'll be fine, right?" sidney craned to mark, who looked back at her. "no." mark replied, sucking in his lips. sidney walked back around to hop into the car with mark before they drove off.
