TMNT- I'm Not Human Either (Leonardo x Reader)

CHAPTER 14- I Swear To You

SETTING: DOCKS, 3PM
POV: Y/N L/N. 1st person.

I looked up at Leonardo, a shocked expression on his face. He eagerly reaches down and takes ahold of my hand, "Y/N- are you okay?"

He pulled me up, and for a moment- just a moment- everything he did vanished. I slowly shake my head, "It's Xever."

I finally notice Casey besides him, feeling myself growing nervous. "That fishface?" Casey questions, chuckling. "Oh please- he'll be a piece of cake!"

Xever heard that and didn't take kindly to it. From on top of a cargo bin, he jumps down and kicks Casey to the side, who retaliates and relies on his skates to prevent him from falling down.

Leo stares daggers at Xever as he brings out both of his katanas, laying them in front of him. I felt useless at this moment, suddenly being protected by him.

"Leonardo... how fun of you to join us. As well as your vigilante friend." Xever welcomed, rubbing his hands together. "Unfortunately, this was supposed to be a fight between old friends."

Leonardo shakes his head, "You won't lay a hand on them, Xever." He bites.

Casey adjusts his posture and brings out one of the hockey sticks on his back. He raises it and screams while bolting towards Xever. Casey slaps Xever with the stick, causing him to take a couple of steps back.

Captain Ryan (Leonardo) decides this was the moment to strike. He charges towards Xever, throwing his katanas towards him. Xever throws up his knives- using them as a way to deflect his attacks. Xever throws one of Leonardo's katanas aside, leaving him with only one. Xever raises his knives as I activate my speed once more.

I dash and slide under Xever, causing him to trip. I then ran over towards Leonardo's Katana, adjusting my hands around the grip. This was definitely not made for my hands.

Xever groans and gets up- noticing the three of us stepping closer to him. He was surrounded. Xever knew this was a fight he couldn't finish, as he looks around and bites his lip. "Another time, Y/N." He announces, using his legs to jump up into the air. He hops onto one of the shipments and runs the opposite direction from us.

"HEY! GET BACK HERE!" Casey yelled, eager for a fight. He runs after Xever, leaving only Leonardo and I. Alone. I decided not to chase after him as I was still at a disadvantage without my SD cards.

I give myself a minute as I hold his katana in my hand. Eventually, I walk over to him and we lock eyes. "...I believe this belongs to you." I announce.

He stares at me for a moment, slowly taking it. He takes both of his katanas and attaches them behind his back. I turn away, not baring to stare into his eyes anymore.

They were alluring, those deep blue eyes. Everything he has done to me made me want to scream, fight, and retaliate. But now, looking at him, I could do nothing but care for him. I refused to let myself feel that way, after all, I would be taken advantage of if I thought everyone could change.

Did Leonardo change?

I start to walk away until I feel someone's grip around my wrist. I pause, knowing it's Leonardos. "Y/N, please..." He called out, "...just let me explain."

It's not like I had a choice anyways.

I slowly lower my head, continuing to look away from him. "I'm sorry." He told me, "I should've never done that to you- and I should have trusted you from the start. In the end, it was my decision on whether we should implant the device or not, and I made a horrible decision in saying yes." He apologized.
