CHAPTER 16- Permanently

SETTING: TURTLES LAIR, ???
POV: Leonardo. 1st person.

"This way!" I heard Donnie yell.

I had Y/N in my arms, passed out. It made me nervous to look down at them and see them limp and unresponsive. The worst outcome that could happen would be them having a heart failure.

I was so stressed that I almost took a wrong turn on the way to the lair.

Donnie, Karai, Mikey, Y/N, and I arrive at the lair. Although we just prevented the Krang from taking over New York, we couldn't hesitate in saving Y/N. Even though I saved them, they still took damage when they hit the concrete after I pulled them away from Krang Prime. It was either that, or they would've been eaten to death.

We rush through the garage door and I lay down Y/N on a table in Donnie's lab.

Donnie swiftly gets to work, rushing at the speed of light. "Please-" Donnie stressed, "The last thing I need is the pressure of people's eyes on me."

I look down at Y/N, feeling something tug my heart. "...Will they be okay?"

"I don't know." Donnie answered, frowning. "It looks like they took damage to their hip, so I would assume they would be fine and that they just exhausted themselves. However, because of their mutation from human to robot- I don't know the anatomy and how their body works. If anything, It'll just be like a quick check up."

Karai places a hand on my shoulder, "Cmon, Leo. I'm sure Y/N will be fine."

I looked over at Mikey and Karai, seeing that although they looked worried, they weren't nearly as worried as I was. I slowly nod my head and exchange one last glance to Donnie and Y/N before leaving with Karai and Mikey.

The second I left the door, Mikey's T-Phone rang. Mikey scrambles and picks it up.

"Hello? Raph-" Mikey blinked, surprised.

Karai and I paused in our tracks, looking over at Mikey. "He got away?" Mikey questioned.

"Uh huh..."

"..."

"Okay."

"Yeah, other than April and Casey, everyone else is here in the lair."

"Yeah, of course."

"Cya soon, bro."

Mikey hangs up the phone, looking over at the two of us. He frowns, "...Master Splinter is hurt, and Shredder got away. Even his pawns working under him too, they're gone."

"Where did they go?!" Karai questioned, taking a step forward.

"They're not sure." Mikey responded, "Raph and Leatherhead ended up trailing them to the sewers and managed to save Master Splinter before Shredder did whatever he was planned on doing."

"How badly injured is Master Splinter?" I question, more panicked than I already was.

"Raph said he's fine. He just needs rest. He just asked for us to set up a futon in the dojo."

I look over at Karai and see her eyebrows furrow, "...He won't get away with this." Karai mumbled, "But for now, let's set up that futon."

Mikey nods and starts to walk over towards the dojo. Karai follows, and when she notices I wasn't following, she turns to look at me. "Are you coming?"

"I'll stay here. I'll wait for everyone else to arrive." I respond, taking out my T-Phone. "Better tell April and Casey that everyone is safe."

"Okay." Karai responds, turning back around. She follows Mikey and they vanish into the dojo, prepping the futon.
