Today was 4th of July and we are hosting the cookout today. Nervous is an understatement. I will eb meeting the women in Domo's family that couldn't make it to Renny's birthday party. So that's his mom,sisters, aunts, and I have been freaking out since last night.I have been cooking and baking since i got off work last night and i am tired! But i want this to be perfect.

"Mamas have you slept yet?" Domo asked walking behind me rubbing my ass

"No, not yet. I gotta get this done, i have alot of people to meet today and i dont want to be stuck in the kitchen. After this ima go take a nap soon though" I answered pouring the macaroni in pan. It was about quarter til 1 and people should be arriving at about 4 so until I had time for a little nap

So far i've made:
Deviled eggs
Baked beans
Cabbage
Corn on the cob
meatballs
Macaoni
Ziti
Potato salad
Pasta salad
salad
Pineapple upside cake
Cupcakes
Fruit kebabs
Cake pops
Pie

And prepped all of the meats for them to cook on the grill

"Dj will be here around 1 and JohnJohn will be here soon to help me n the grill." He said sitting on the couch eating grapes
A sharp pain went through my stomach as i was getting food outta the fridge. Tears immediately clouded my vision.All of the pasta salad that i made spilled all on the floor and Domo came running. All of my hard work is on the fucking floor. That took me over the edge. I let all of the tears fall freely. I've been bsting my ass to make sure that this goes smoothly because I am sure that they heard about what happened at Renny's birthday party

"Thats it Jayda go lay down, dropping shit " he grumbled as he looked at the mess I had made and started cleaning it up.

I wobble out of the kitchen to his room with a little pout. After a while he came in the room with my chinese from last night

"You good mamas i ain't never seen you do some like that" he asked coming over to rub my stomach. The baby started kicking every where he touched

"Oh he's being mean today" Domo joked messing with him a little more as I ate
"Loyal. His name is Loyal" I announced pulling him away from messing with my stomach
"Loyal" he repeated. He kissed my stomach and my head "Loyal bee good and let ya mama take a nap before she be dropping you on my floor also" he joked before leaving the room. I turned on the Circle until i eventually dozed off

"Hey mama" I said hugging her. She was the first one here other than me and JohnJohn.

"Hey baby" she smiled walking in. "Where is my grandson and future daughter in law" she teased giving me a look

"They in there layin down, shes being cooking since she got off work at 4am. And Dj just got here from his peoples"

"So tell me about this lil girl that has my son and grandson crazy about her." she said going into the kitch

"Well, her name is Jayda Carter she's 18, just graduated highschool in May. Salutatorian. Ummm she is kind, loves Dj like her own..... And she'll be 8 months pregnant next week. Its a boy" i told her

"Oh yeah i heard about the drama at Renny's party" she said eyeing me displeased

"Ma just give her a chance, please. She felt terrible for that and has spent the whole day trying to impress you. I practically had to force her to lay down after she dropped all of the pasta salad " I sighed pointing to all of the food

She walked around looking at all of the pans with an blank face

"She did all of this 8 months pregnant" She asked closing everything back up "Don't let her do that again. Especially this far along. I would've been in the hospital somewhere if I'd do that with Johnathan " she joked.

"Alright ma JohnJohn is in the back i gotta run to the store for pasta salad ingredients, she dropped the pan on the floor"

"Boy don't worry, nobody even eats that nasty ass shit but your uncles" She fanned. That's all she had to say cause I did not want to go out. Everybody knows that the stores on 4th of July aint no joke

Mama A (Ashley), JohnJohn's mom, got clean and took care of me while my actual mother fell harder into drugs. When I was about 12 my real mom went into rehab to try to change her life and nobody has heard from her since

Shortly after Mama A came everybody started pouring in and waking up Jayda completely slipped my mind

By the time I remembered to wake her up it was 8 and she was wobbling down into the kitchen with Dj on her hip

I got up from the porch and walked into the kitchen to grab him from her

"My bad mamas I forgot about you" I went down to kiss her and she moved completely dodging me and started making Dj a plate

"awww come on do be like that I said my bad" she continued to ignore me

"Where is the rest of the food Dominique " she tried to look at me and I knew that she was pissed

"I stayed up all night to cook. You didn't wake me up in time and you let them eat all the food" she asked me looking at me. If looks could kill I would be 12 ft under

She stood glaring at me for a long time before Mama A walked into the kitchen

"Oh hello baby, you must be Jayda. It's so nice to meet you. Dj has been going on and on about you" she smiled

Jayda quickly wiped her tears that were starting to form and smiled "You must be Ms. Ashley how are"

"I'm good. Dominique made y'all plates earlier, their in the microwave why don't you come meet the rest of the ladies while he warms them up" she smiled grabbing Jayda's hand giving me a knowing look

Jayda gives me the half made plate and walks out of the back door to where everyone is having a good time

I quickly go to the microwave and warm up both Jayda and Dj's plates

I put Dj down and grab both of their plates and take them to Jayda.

We walked up to the table full of women and they all got quiet weird. I put her plate in front of her, gave her a kiss on the head, and left them to their conversation. Me and Dj went to the grill and sat with the guys while he ate his food

"So you just gon feed sis to the wolves? A damn shame" JohnJohn said, cracking up.

Instant worry clouded my brain. I've never had to introduce a women that I actually cared about to my family. I fucked with hoes who I could care less about but Jayda different "they ain't gon do nun crazy...... right??"

All of them looked at me and laughed
"everytime a women get introduced to this family it's a shit show"
