(A/N not really happy with this but I thought 'hey why the hell not?' SO here it is! Enjoy!

“What do you think?” I asked as I stepped out of the bathroom. Dania looked at me in the vanity mirror as she tried to fasten her necklace and instantly frowned. “You don’t like it?” I asked and was about to change into my other gown.

“Why the hell do you have to always look so damn beautiful? It pisses me off.” She growled and I laughed.

“If it helps, you look gorgeous as well. All eyes are going to be on you.” I smiled and walked over to take the clasp from her hand and hooked the clasp for her. “Besides, I’m going to have Ethan on my hip most of the night. You’re going to have to mingle for the both of us.” I smiled at her and she continued to fix her make up that was already done flawlessly.

Her bright green eyes were surrounded by long black lashes and a black Smokey eye done with a shade of red, which matched her long old Hollywood waves perfectly. Dania’s dress was a dove grey that grazed the floor in lacy that connected to thing straps and a backless fashion. Show casing her tall, curvy and drool worthy body magnificently.

I looked at my makeup that Dania had done for me. My eyes looked large and innocent as they were surrounded by thick long lashes and a Smokey brown and gold making my dull green eyes look slightly livelier. My lips looked pouty and my cheek bones more prominent but I knew that wasn’t from the makeup.

I fixed a wayward strand of my long black hair that was done in complicated braids that made me look like a Grecian princess but it had to be dress that topped it off. The one shoulder, creamy material covered my body like a glove and floated when I walked, the slit that ran up my thigh to my hip and flared out at the waist, making me actually look like I had curves.

I wanted to remember this. The way I looked right now because I realized that I didn’t have much longer and I actually never might get a chance like this again. Smiling brightly as Dania forced me to put on lip stick and some lip gloss. I hugged her unexpectedly, wrapping my increasingly thinning limbs around her.

“I love you.” I said quietly as she hesitantly hugged be back.

“I love you too.” Dania said softly before she pulled back and gave me a curious look. “Are you okay?” She asked inquiringly and skeptically.

“Nope, I just feel like I don’t say it often enough to you.” I smiled brightly before I turned around and secured the pendent that was a soft grey and fell to rest between my collar bones that protruded. “Let’s get this show on the road. Here’s to a good night!” I cheered and took a drink of the champagne.

“This is defiantly going to be a good night.” She grinned and in turn drank.

I looked down at my nude stiletto heels that I knew were going to kill my feet by the end of the day. Knowing that I looked like the precious daughter that everyone called me, I knew that everyone paused as I let one slender leg slide out and then the other after that. I took the hand that was held out for me and stood.

Smiling at the flashing lights that were pointed in my direction that kept going off with shouts.

Flash. Flash. Flash. Click. Click. Click.

I released the hand that had helped me and thanked them, but this was what I was used to and I waited for Dania and my family before I continued down the cobble stone driveway that leg to the giant mansion before glancing over at my shoulder one more time at the  paparazzi that were stuck outside the  gate.

“Gabby.” A hesitant voice asked and I glanced down to Ethan who wore a suit and had his black hair slicked back with gel. “Can you carry me?” He asked, wringing his hands nervously at the loss of his bear.

“Sure.” I grinned before picking him up and placing him on my hip as we walked. Ignoring my mother as she complained about how the wine wasn’t cool enough or crisp enough and how inappropriate I holding Ethan was.

His face scrunched up in fascination as he peered at my necklace with his gold eyes. That would keep him occupied until the end of the ceremony. The sun was high and bright as we made our way down the elaborate path to the beautiful and expensive arrangement that was where they were to be wed and we sat down in the place that was reserved for us.

Ethan sat on my lap still placed on my lap as he starred at the facets of the diamond. People began filling in and sitting on the white benches, that had been brought out onto the manicured lawn that faced towards the arch way that was placed in front of a pond that had white swans swimming on it gracefully. Waiters running around and filling glasses and ushering the men and women to that were dressed in clothes expensive enough to buy cars with.

They all stood when the ceremony began. Everybody rising as the brides made went down the white path that was covered in flowers and everybody held their breaths as the woman in white came down the aisle. To be honest, I didn’t even know who the person was that was under that veil. A friend of the family, something like that.

I didn’t care though as I sneakily took a long pull of the vodka that Dania had stealthily put in a water bottle before coming here but when the preacher began to speak did I finally realize that I had spoken to soon and that the diamond was in fact, not going to keep Ethan occupied. The sun made him irritable as it beat down on his soft skin.

Excusing us from the dirty looks people were giving Ethan and I, did I finally escape and went inside the mansion house and stayed near the window as I set Ethan down and gratefully accepted the toys the maid offered.

Spotting someone with a tall frame and glossy black hair slide into the only seat open in the front were the family sit, holding back a chuckle when I realized that one of the groom’s family members was late to his wedding.

“Jackass.” I muttered but then had to laugh as I saw Dania’s fire bomb red hair as she took a couple long pulls from the water bottle that wasnt actually water.

“That’s a bad word Gabby.” Ethan exclaimed and went back to the puzzle that he was trying to do and sat down on a chair and watched him as his brow furrowed.

I brushed away a tear that threatened to fall.

I was never going to have any of this. I was never going to see my brother grow up and be heart throb or get married or hell, even get mad at my wedding from my husband’s family being late. I was never going to win all those trophies or go to nationals like I had planned or become a doctor. Most importantly I was never going to experience what made worth living and I was going to miss every second.

“I’m sorry Ethan.” I said quietly and fixed my makeup.
