TW: Invasive Thoughts

»»————- ➴ ————-««

Everyone had slowly filed in to check on Jisung, ask if he needs anything, and offer to sit with him. But in true Quokka style, he kept a smile on his face and continued to laugh and tell them everything was alright. Felix looked the most distressed over the whole situation, and Jisung had to tell him, "You're gonna get acne over worrying that much. This is not worth pimples on your sexy ass face, so cut it out."

The last to enter his room was Minho.

"Oh thank god. Can I get out of bed now? This is not how I imagined this going- I thought the first time you kept me bed-ridden for a full day would be way more fun." Jisung grinned playfully, his tongue dancing around his teeth.

"We need to talk, first, if that's alright and you're up for it." Minho responded seriously, still ignoring his flirtatious inclinations.

"Oooh, serious time. Yessir, I am ready." The younger sat up a bit straighter as he awaited the topic, taking a deep breath and steadying himself.

"Feel free to stop me if anything makes you uncomfortable. I wanted to talk about the moments leading up to everything- when you were on the couch in the club," Minho said as he sat on the edge of Jisung's bed, turning to face him. "Why?"

"Ah. I was kind of just watching to see who he was paying attention to. I realized we hadn't really discussed that in our meetings, so we probably didn't know. I saw he barely even glanced at Felix, who- let's be honest- was somehow even hotter than normal, and I was intrigued. So I watched to see what his type was, and I became it. Slutty but shy. Typical for creepy old men, let's be real." Jisung explained, biting his inner lip as he looked anywhere but Minho's direction.

"Makes sense. That was genuinely a smart call. But you can't just do things outside of the plan without talking to me, first. It puts us in a bit of a dangerous situation." Minho said gently, carefully, making it clear that he was trying to get his point across without sounding like he was placing blame on Jisung for the 'incident.'

"How so? I mean, I wasn't noticed. I'm just asking so I know the reason behind this, not to be a brat." Jisung was shifting slightly uncomfortably, feeling the overwhelming sensations of the ringing voice in his head begin, the skin on his legs itching in tandem.

See? This was your fault, too. You couldn't even follow directions. You fucked up. Again.

"Let me preface this by saying that I don't blame you for anything that that asshole did. I don't think you ruined anything, and you did extremely well in getting us the proof and information we needed." Minho began, as if he could read the boy's mind. "This was not a big deal, at all. It could just become one in the future, okay?"

Jisung nodded, trying to just breathe and focus on Minho saying this wasn't his fault.

"So if anyone does something outside of the plan, the people watching- so... Chan and I, this time- have to focus a little more on that to figure out what's going on. Which means we're paying less attention to other things. In this case, that would mean paying less attention to Felix and the target. Do you kind of see what I'm getting at?" He continued, still keeping his tone as gentle as possible.

"That makes sense. I should have communicated my idea instead of just going through with it on my own. I'm sorry." Jisung took a deep breath in, realizing what kind of mistake he had made.

What if something happened to Felix while they were paying attention to me and trying to figure out what I was doing? God you're such a fucking idiot, Jisung. 'Genius' my ass.
