The next morning, Minho awoke to bright light piercing through the window's blinds. His back was in a little pain, but other than that, he had actually slept incredibly well for the first time in several days. Maybe weeks, or months. He hadn't woken up feeling this well rested in a very long time.

He squeezed his eyes shut, rubbing them to help wake himself up, and slowly realizing a growing pressure across his flattened body. He propped himself slightly upwards on his elbow, looking to see what was causing it, only to find Jisung with his head down, laying directly on top of Minho.

The younger's hands were fisted into Minho's shirt while his head rested on the older's upper ribcage. He had put one leg upwards, in an almost 90 degree angle, hooking over Minho's thighs to entangle the lower half of their bodies together. Jisung's soft breathing and peaceful, puffy, sleepy face was the single most adorable thing he'd ever seen in his life.

Minho slowly lowered himself back into laying flat, with his head resting on the pillow placed beneath him. He steadily reached up to maneuver the blanket around the back of the boy's shoulders without waking him, before staring up at the ceiling and hovering his free hand above the head of blue hair on his chest.

He lowered it several times, unable to make actual contact for several minutes, as his mind and heart fought an all-out war over what he should and should not be doing. Agonizing and impudent memories tried to break through, screaming at him to not allow this kind of vulnerability again. To not get this close to someone, again.

But, as quickly as the painful thoughts had come crashing in, they were shortly replaced with more recent images and scenes.

Jisung playfully and sarcastically throwing out retorts while being restrained in what would normally be a scary situation for people.

Jisung waking up on the closet floor and making jokes so no one would realize he was in pain.

Jisung learning to fight and laughing when Changbin had basically thrown him into a wall before rushing over to him to see if he was okay, and the younger just made him feel better instead of focusing on himself.

Jisung cooking for everyone and smiling brightly when everyone loved it.

Jisung causing a scene to get a child away from his abusive guardian, even though it put him in a precarious situation.

Jisung following an arguing couple just because he saw them fighting, and listened to his gut, saving a complete stranger.

Jisung. Just... Jisung.

He finally gave in and closed his eyes, softly running his shaking fingers through the younger's smooth strands, and exhaling as if he had been holding his breath for several minutes.

Maybe he was. He wouldn't know. He was lost in the feeling of just... touching someone like this again. Touching Jisung like this. In his adorably sweet, vulnerable state, where he had trusted the older enough to fall asleep like this in the first place.

He felt the blanket shift slightly as Jisung's head turned side-to-side, leisurely, before the boy nuzzled his face into Minho's shirt with a large sigh. The younger opened his eyes slowly, blinking a few times, as he realized he was laying on something not-bed-like.

When he put two-and-two together, he jumped up a little bit, placing his arms on either side of Minho as he lifted, creating space between their bodies. Minho kept his hand very gently placed at the back of the boy's head and smiled, hoping to ease the situational pressure that might cause Jisung to panic.

He moved his hand slightly higher as he ruffled the younger's messy hair. "You sleep well, Sungie?" He asked, tilting his head slightly while keeping his smile soft and bright.
